Those trucks are cool. Seeing the spare tire in the cargo space made me remember a bunch of 70s truck stuff I had forgotten like the spare tire bolted to the side body in the back of my dad’s GMC. The old steel bumpers with the dealership name and city engraved on them, my friends old Scout, front window vents because AC definitely was not standard. Gun racks, camper shells, and semi see through western scenes plastered across the back window. My dad converted one of his GMCs to run on propane, so it had a propane tank mounted in the bed. Hadn’t thought about all that in years.
Guy that I went to high school with had a late 70’s model El Camino that he converted to propane. Twenty years after we graduated he still had it and he said that it had over 250000 miles on it and he’d never touched the engine.
It burns clean. A very efficient fuel. Wish we invested more into this than electric cars.
Yep, only tradeoff is lower power output vs gasoline but with regular oil changes the pistons and valves should remain pristine.
