On the wrong team because she's injured?

Good stats almost across the board when she's able to play. And leads all W guards in usage rate. And this is all while having played some minutes not physically 100%.

Not sure what all the fuss is about
I don't know what you are watching. most of the injuries this year are non existent. false. catherbert humperdunk needs to go

LA. Remember you heard it here first. If it doesn't happen, I'll eat all the crow you can serve up. ;)
Needs a team with a legit "5".

Defend the perimeter and Fever struggle.
No inside pressure limits blocks/rebounds and runouts with the current Fever defense.

I agree it was/is CC dream to play in the WNBA

I don’t think CC ever dreamed she would be treated like this in the WNBA

the dream has turned into a nightmare
Never heard clark say that. Nothing she has stated about her experience comes close to describing “a nightmare”….. maybe you could post a quote.

I'm watching someone who has a bad back. No question about it
maybe last year. and I have had pain and injuries, so I am not putting her down, believe me. but she walked just fine to the locker room in both games. played last night, no limp, after 15 seconds. played after the alyssa thomas thing. not saying she is faking... saying her coach and the W are somehow making this up as an excuse. some think she quit and wants out, and this injury thing is not real. this year.

Boston is a legit 5. Not sure why pure talking about. A legit Power Forward? Sure. A legit small forward? Sure. A legit 5? No.

They have those women lifting weights aggressively and then they cannot understand a bad back? Maybe the training regiment needs to be reevaluated.
I do think there's a chance that trying to change your build after some physical pounding has already taken place, can amount to just more pounding.

Which is part of why I said years ago that CC needed to change her build before she got into the W

Where is she moving to that’s going to make this magically better?

I'm not on team CC needs to leave the Fever quite yet but if she did Seattle might be the perfect fit for her. Super athletic young players in Fam, Malonga, and Flau'jae that could help make up for CCs weaknesses on the defensive side.

It's probably a moot point because I doubt she's getting traded and if she did Seattle would probably have to give up at least two of the players I listed above.

A legit "5" doesn't spend as much time on the 3 pt line as AB does.

You aren't watching the games, are you?
If the Fever had a REAL "5", interior defense wouldn't suck as bad as it does.

Most of the best "5s" in the WNBA and NBA spend a more time on the perimeter than on the block. That's how basketball is played today.

As for interior defense Boston more often than not holds her own against the person she's guarding.

She's not a great help defender, but unless the Fever are signing Wemby I don't think there's a player out there that can help them protect the paint when the guards are getting blown by twenty times a game.

Bad enough that basketball fans (and, curiously, non bb fans) have pressed political viewpoints into the sport. Now you have idiot congressmen publicly interjecting demands on the league. Silver pretty much nailed it. Again, a weak Commissioner has made the circumstance worse.

Fans have pressed political viewpoints?? The league and several players have done that. The fans have reacted. And Caitlin Clark has done nothing to deserve what's going on. That's more like what happened

Of course she holds her own guarding a "5" on the perimeter. Most 5's aren't shooting from the 3 pt line.

Fever has one of the worst "in the paint" defenses in the League. Why mgmt refuses to address this issue is baffling.

Boston should dominate as the #1 pick a few years ago.

Her and Plum would make a really fun backcourt. They couldn’t guard anyone but they would score a lot of points.
How about the WNBA allow this team:

PG- Caitlin Clark
SG- Kelsey Plum
SF- Bridget Carleton
PF/4- Dearica Hamby
C- Aliyah Boston

Bench- Cam Brink
Bench- Michaela Onyenwere
Bench- Ariel Atkins
Bench- Monique Billings
Bench- Rae Burrell
Bench- Kiana Williams
Bench- Kate Martin

A'ja, Stewie, Jonquel Jones, Phee (when healthy) all play on the perimeter more than the block. Looking at the NBA Wemby, Jokic, KAT, Chet all do as well.

Fever have one of the worst paint defenses because the Guards can't stay in front of their man and are getting blown by. It's not like Boston is getting eaten alive in the post. So back to my point unless the Fever are signing Wemby there's not going to be a post the front office can sign that will help with that problem.

Boston is averaging 17/9/3 and is the best young "5" in the league. She's not dominant yet but she's well on her way.

Well then, you identified an issue...when the guards get "blown by", AB is unable to help because she's on the perimeter.
And AB gets beat on the perimeter as well .
I realize you're digging in here and won't acknowledge I'm right.
So be it.

1000% this. Not sure how or why Boston is somehow always getting her name thrown out as some kind of underachiever she’s been a rock for 2 1/2 years. You can’t play 3 on 5 and get zero production from the 3 and 4 position. Last year we had Howard who was way underestimated by many on here. Hull is a solid defender but has no offensive game and Billings has been a disaster. To expect Boston to cover for all the flaws of the rest of our front court players is insane. When CC was healthy her rookie year the big 3 were cooking. They were still lousy on defense but they were so good offensively it didn’t matter as much. Now we’ve got a 50-60% Clark and it just isn’t going to work.

I'll acknowledge you're right if that ever happens.

AB is on the perimeter on defense because that's where her man is. She's not a perfect defender but she's the best defender the Fever have.

Outside of A'ja, Stewie, Phee, and Jonquel you can make a really good argument that AB is the best post player in the league. And even if you replaced her with the 4 players I listed I don't think they'd be able to make up for the defensive deficiencies caused by the guards giving up straight line drives to the hoop.

AB "defender" is on the perimeter to draw her away from the hoop and defending the paint.

You ever watched WBB before?
Outside of the 2/3 players you mentioned, "5s" don't camp at the 3 pt line.
Damn.🤣🤣🤣

Have you watched the Fever before? Teams constantly spread the floor forcing out AB out of the paint because they know the guards can't contain the drive.

Blaming Boston for the Fever giving up so many layups is like blaming Higgins and Campbell for Iowa giving up touchdowns when Petras and Deacon Hill were turning the ball over inside our ten yard line.

Slightly altered it to take out Sabrina, mostly because that was just a wishful thinking super team. 😁

Clark is just not on the right team, one that will utilize her skills the right way in order to make her and her team better. This organization is all wrong for her top to bottom, starting with Dunn and going all the way down to the Head Coach. Throw in all of the stoppages from injuries and subsequent disruption of playing time, then this is what you end up with.
There's probably a reason they were last in the league and earned the 1st pick.

I think the biggest thing is Engelbert feels the pressure from the old guard both players and COACHES, (many of whom played 10-15 years ago) to not let all of this growth and $$$$ be about one transcendent player. They all feel it diminishes what they gave to the game. To a point , I get it. That doesn't change the fact that they're letting their own bias get in the way of taking full advantage of what CC22 could have brought to the league. As for the refs part of it is they just aren't up to the task as a group, and Clark isn't helping herself with the way she exaggerates the contact and her blowing up at the refs in front of everyone.
Also, maybe they need to get rid of all the crazy assed rules they have that cause so many reviews, fouls called that weren't originally called, long stoppages, quirky things like take fouls, and on and on.

That just goes along with them not being up to the task. Quite often they make calls, (or don't make calls) knowing they can always review them. For the little benefit they've added to all sports reviews are just slowing up the game, and it takes the momentum from a team that's on a good run.

What the heck changed? No flailing around , yelling at refs. No tantrums. 45 points. Less minutes restrictions. This was a 180 changer. Just proves the injuries were either not real or she was really superwoman. Did Bluder chew her out?

Not at all.

Completely within the real of possibility with backs.

They require a ton of rest. But can linger/reaggravate easily.

She's had a good amount of rest lately, so apparently is feeling pretty good.

Hopefully it can continue

I like having the old CC back. But I am still not buying it. Sorry. I’m a skeptic. I think last year she had it. This year I really dunno what is going on. I did see her limp a little last nite.

There is no question CC has been dealing with back issues this season.
