Greatest NBA Coach All-Time

My guess is most will pick Jackson. I am going with Pat Reilly. Jackson has 11 titles overall, Reilly has 9 overall. Jackson forced the Triangle everywhere he went, Reilly adapted (became a successful bruising team in NY, slower but championship team in Miami, Showtime 4-time champion in LA). Love his coaching style and ability to adapt to the players and talent. Both coaches are amazing and I won't argue with Jackson.

Without a doubt Phil Jackson. He had 3 3-peats as a head coach. Sure it was a system, but so was Bill Belichek’s and plenty refer to him as the greatest NFL coach of all time.

Yep a really good coach can elevate people a level but no coach is winning a title without dudes . Now a ****** coach can fk up a team of Dudes pretty quick.

Love this! I'm a Northwest guy so Lenny Wilkens and the Sonics title is personal to me and of course it came 2 years after Dr. Jack and his '77 Trailblazers. Good stuff.

Oh man.... Freddie was the coolest of COOL back in the 70's. I was a kid and got to meet him. Kids everywhere - "Okay, okay" he said "We got time here. Now just line up and we'll take care of everyone." Huge smile on his face, he waited and signed all the autographs. He had a swagger, a coolness that was so natural and awesome. Wish they had the 3-point line for all of his career. Man, you hit me with this reference. Love that guy.

Phil Jackson implemented the system. So, yes. He is hands down the best NBA coach ever. Even without Jordan his teams made it into the conference semis. Then you have what he did with the Lakers.

Phil had a system? I mean, okay. But any team could have run that system.

Jackson is the best NBA coach ever and a lot of it has to do with the fact that he did not over-coach. He let his players play and didn't use timeouts every minute...he let them figure it out.

He also had the respect of his players and they played hard for him.
