So there were mass shootings/bombings during the Jim Crow era?

Tell Deon Cole GIF by Team Coco
Gee, Ghee, I expected you to be more knowledgeable about the proud racist history of your party. Here are some highlights of dem mass killings of blacks during Jim Crow, with estimated number of murdered blacks in parentheses.

Wilmington NC, 1898 (300)
Atlanta, 1906 (25)
Elaine, AR, 1919 (100-300)
Tulsa, 1921 (300)

Of course, there were also hundreds if not thousands of lynchings, many unreported, that dems like you can be proud of.

How was that for telling you more?

the OP was about modern political violence and Rubio claiming this is some uniquely left-wing phenomenon. I responded with 50 years of RECENT documented far-right terrorism and mass violence. your dumb@a$$ reply? Time machine back to 1898.

yes, those massacres were horrific, and no serious person would ever deny it. But they don't cancel a single gd example I listed from 1978–2022. And maybe crack open a history book before pretending the Democratic Party of 1898 and today are the same thing. Today's MAGA is yesterday's Democrat. That's a level of historical illiteracy only a partisan hack like yourself could love.

jfc, Riveting your reading comprehension is atrocious. I asked if there were mass shootings and bombings during Jim Crow because the OP was about modern political violence, not because I was defending the 1800s Democratic Party. And where the hell did you get the idea I'm a Democrat? :ROFLMAO:

That's the funniest part of this whole exchange. In your world, if someone points out 50 years of documented far-right terrorism, they must be a Democrat. That's not critical thinking. That's MAGA-FoxNews vacuum-level thinking.

I posted facts. You couldn't refute a gd single one of them, so you jumped back 125 years, assigned me a political party I've never belonged to, and are now arguing with a version of me that exists only in your moronic head. Do you even read the $h!t you post? LOL

Let me know when you want to come back to the actual topic: Rubio pretending modern political violence is uniquely a left-wing problem.

Mind if I intect an opinion, Riveting? Frist off, I don't think anyone is denying those atrocities or trying to excuse them. They're a very sad part of our history. IMO, the OP was (as ghee said) about modern political violence--back then we didn't have OK City-type bombing or even transgender violence. They type of violence you're refering to was racially motivated not really political. So. responding to a list from recent history with events from over 100 years ago comes across as changing the subject rather than addressing it.

I won't deny there has been a slight uptick of "liberally linked" violence, but it's disingenuous to make those claims while completely ignoring all the right-wing extremism, no? It's like the GOP pointing to all the LBGTQ debachery while ignoring all the "CHristian"/GOP child porn, sexual assaults, etc. I'm more of the mindset that anyone is capable of evil...seriously, anyone.

Sorry if I wasn't as articulate as Ghee.

Rubio said “More than 80% of radical violence is now driven by far-left and anarchist actors."

Despite the word "now" in his statement, you went back 50 years in a foolish effort to prove he is wrong about "now".

Jesus Christ. did you even listen to ole giant shoes Ruby's speech? The 80% statistic wasn't even about the US. It was Greece. He separately mentioned the U.S. And speaking of the good ole USofA, you're still dodging the point. Ghee wiz, no need to be hysterical. When I suggested you continue back in time beyond your arbitrary 48 years, you could have simply said you were defining modern as "48 years" instead of asking about dem Jim Crow massacres.

I don't blame you at all for denying you are a democrat given the shameful and racist history of that party.
