Also I don't remember saying anything about how bad last year was. I just stayed we have the best fan base. This isn't a Pope bash thread or a UK bash thread. It's a positive thread about our fanbase. Nothing more.

Those supporting Pope are no less fans than any other. That seemed to be the theme with that post in which you seemed to agree with or did I miss the point on that. If so, apologies.

No one is "cutting his steak". None of us were in on the decision to retain him or not. He was kept as our coach for another season. Some folks decided to support Pope because it is in the best interest of UK Basketball for him to be successful. You though, start an immediate year long bash job on Pope and anyone who says a positive thing about the man. He got an extra season and SO FAR, THIS OFFSEASON he is doing fine. He has put together what appears to be a much better team than last season, he has signed a good HS kid for next season and is in on several top guys. WHAT POSSIBLE GOOD can come from all your negativity dude? Let us lose at least once before you start this constant complaining

Kentucky Basketball sells out for a on the fly Pep rally put on at the last minute just to introduce a coach. Has thousands outside wishing they could get in. Thousands outside wanting autographs. 20 something thousand inside the arena going crazy just to introduce a coach that most were unhappy with when he got hired?

I'm tired of weak individuals trying to bash the fanbase just because we have more passion than they can handle. Y'all need to find a new team because over here we don't have room for mildness. You're a die hard or you're nothing. Go back to wherever y'all came from with the bullcrap talking about it's BBNs fault we didn't land a player or anything else that might happen.

The only thing that is our fault is making this the most unique experience in the world for a college basketball player to come play a game. We are number one and it's not even close.

Comparing selling out a tiny arena to a huge stadium is a bit goofy to me. Alabama fan literally tried to murder trees out of spite. Those guys are hard-core too.

Pope is the coach. He deserves support as long as he is the coach. I've said things about him no doubt but at the end of the day I support him and hope he wins big. Do I think he will? No. But I still support him.

As far as nonsense I was talking about posters who take every thread off topic. Try to twist people's words. Focus on the least important points and undermine what an entire post is talking about. Always having something to say about the fanbase. Trying to paint someone mad because they can't handle a different opinion. And just flat out being full of it.

That's why I kept repeating we have the best fanbase because that's simply my opinion and if you read the entire thread ....theres a good example of (UK fans) finding something negative to say about a simple positive opinion. We have the best fanbase and I gave examples why I think that.

I used three or four basketball teams also and I do believe if we held Big Blue Madness at the football field we would sell it out still. We had 20 something thousand for Popes introduction and no telling how many thousands outside that got turned away. That wasn't even a practice or a single player there except Travis Perry.
