History tells me I should be excited about a WR or two, and the rest of them will suck

So either Johnson or Ragins

That's a take. No knowledge of him so can't argue against it, but just not a sentiment I've heard anywhere else.

He didn’t say Swann would necessarily beat Taylor out. But there’s a very real chance Taylor misses some time due to injury. Heck he’s missed 1 of 2 games since he became the starter & would have missed more if it had been during the season.

OL - OL and OL is where I have questions

Chester and Prudhomme seem to have shown enough to be listed as starters so those two are probably the ones for now on OL but:

OL RFr. Mario Nash – Florida State HS 4 star
OL RFr.Jaelyne Matthews – Florida State 6' 6" higher 3 star
OL RFr. LJ Prudhomme – Arkansas 6' 3 318 - 3 star played in 4 games as a TR FR. OL don't do that unless you see something in them
OL So. Isaiah Autry-Dent – Oklahoma - 6-8 330 - 3 star -
OL Jr. DJ Chester – LSU - HS 4 star but still has two more years
OL RFr. Tyler Miller – LSU - HS 4 star
OL So. Miles McVay – North Carolina - HS 4 star

That's 7 guys that if we had gotten them out of HS we could be excited moving forward in one recruiting cycle on top of the HS guys. That's a pretty darn good nucleus of young OL talent added in one transfer cycle with as many as 4 years of playing time left. Then - Shumpert-Perkins, Steen and Boone and this OL has some potential to be decent over the next couple years. If Perkins or McVay can play solid at LT then things could be much better than expected.

The other place with questions for me is DL

I am interested in the FSU guys. Arnett was at FSU and I do think his eye for talent is real and then the one from A&M may be really good as well.

DL Sr. Jayson Jenkins – Florida State - 3 star but I will be glad to get him if Arnett wanted him. he a SR so he be helping now.
Edge Jr. Amaree Williams – Florida State 4 star both HS & Transfer - this guy could be really good
DL So. Dealyn Evans – Texas A&M - 4 star both HS & Transfer - this guy could be really good

They have addressed both sides of the line in the trenches but is it enough to win this year? I don't know but I do like a lot of the younger guys.

For me, it's Marquis Johnson. Can he be this year's Brenan Thompson? Also, DJ Chester.

We really need this guy to work out in a big way. I thought Brennan was the MVP last year due to stretching the field and long TD catches! I think Brennan was good for a couple of last year's wins.

I'm actually excited for our D. We have some dudes on it that can play. Talent level from last year players & coaches night & day.

I’m excited about whichever OL steps up and makes the biggest difference.

Defense should be pretty good. I’m concerned about offense. And schedule.

First team will be fine, depth is the issue. Just score 30 or more & we'll be in most games.

Schedule, who knows. New players everywhere. Bama isnt Bama, Vandy seems to have taken a step back. Its the SEC, everyone's schedule is tough. That like complaining about the heat every year in S MS.

Good qb play is so important & I think we've got a good one. The OL is going to surprise some folks.
