England -- Lytham, St. George's, Birkdale, Liverpool
Scotland -- St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Troon

Pretty equitable and if there weren't political and/or logistic issues with Turnberry & Muirfield, then Scotland would lead the way. I'm kinda surprised they brought back Lytham as a future site because when I was there, it felt far too small for everything the Open is nowadays but was a good size for the Senior Open & the Women's Open which is where it is in a couple weeks.

I envy the people who have had an opportunity to attend a British Open. I happen to believe the the US Open is the most enjoyable sporting event I have ever attended. The British Open is usually played in weather in the sixties or low seventies. No boiling hot summer weather. Mixing beautiful surroundings, the freedom to travel the course and view what you like, and being able to get relatively close to the competitors, makes a mojor golf tournament a unique sporting event.

BTW, the US Women's Open has been at Lancaster County Club twice. Future events are coming to Oakmont in 2028 and Merion in 2035.

Any U.S. golf courses have pot bunkers like these?

yes. They’re not all that common but there are courses in the US rhat have them. The Senator Course at Capitol Hill (Alabama) is famous for them, as it features @ 160 of them. Pat Dye, who is a famous designer of courses in the US has a few, or quite a few, pot bunkers in many of his courses.

I took some heat last year, and some of the criticism was valid, but I am going to double down. I hope that every LIV golfer comes in a tie for last place!

Very complicated situation (that most will likely dig in one way or the other with it being an easy call). I don't think the penalty was necessary...though see why they assessed it. One of my biggest issues is that 120+ players in the field would have never been called on it because there wouldn't have been the extra cameras and eyes on it...don't think it's right to hold some players to a higher standard than others.

Agreed.
You can see Bryson goes back to 5 with them and walks them through what he was doing. Clearly he is frustrated and to me looks like he didn’t do anything that would show he meant to do it. Now golf isn’t about what you meant to do it but to say he improved his lie? That is crazy.

If he is gonna withdraw as has been speculated, I would do it at the 1st tee on TV. While it will screw his playing partner for the day no better way to make a point.

Ain't gonna happen. If that was Rory, Fleetwood, or Rose, no one would have said a word. Those clowns on Golf Channel can't be taken seriously. I am no a fan of Bryson, but this could set up for a great weekend.

Can’t just make up those two shots in a major. I feel bad for him. Heck you watch nba and soccer and laugh at there flops and violations etc,

Problem is its very subjective and you know they wouldn't have done that to a d**k like Rory.
