The thing is I'm not Pope hater. I don't think the actual results have been terrible if you take out the blowout losses. But you can't take them out. You can't change perception other than winning big.

I'm simply a die hard passionate UK fan and the lack of control and the way he has represented UK has been kind of EMBERRASING imo. Not the actual record...the way he speaks. The way he's recruited. The perception of wins and losses even tho it's been pretty normal compared to other programs.

I think he came to UK at the wrong time. Times when Indiana football can go undefeated and win a national championship because of NIL. Times where most teams are evened out... We are used to the Kentucky way of the old era.

I wish the best for Pope. I hope he wins a national championship. It's just the way he talks and acts that I can't get down with unless he's winning big. And so far he isn't.

I don't expect elite 8s and final fours every year but it shouldn't be out of reach for that to be the expectation.what I do expect is for him to have some balls and if starters are are getting blown out by 35 with no effort and he's getting booed by his own fanbase then show some fckn emotion and at least put the walk ons in. Hell my highschool coach did that. At least do something.. anything. Get some control of your program. That's my biggest issue with Pope because the results have been pretty normal if we're being honest.

You don’t like the way he speaks.

Hell no. I don't like the way he speaks along with many other fans. But you're smart. I've been around here awhile. I know you know there was more to what I said. But you are correct . I don't like the coach sounding like a big whimp.

You did write a hell of a lot. I just emphasized one thing, not as a question, but as a statement. The thing that makes no sense to me. What makes him sound “like a big wimp?” I mean most of us saw him play the game. As a player, he was no wimp but was a scrapper and a fighter. So, technically, he sounds like he is, but you are focused on some stereotype of what you think a wimp sounds like. What exactly is that?

I don't like Kentucky getting blown out by 35 points on national tv either. Do you? Dont like our head coach getting booed off the court by his own fan base. Do you?
I don’t like the fans who boo their own team. Every fanbase has low IQ emotional dimwits. UK has more than most because it has more fans than most.

No one likes losing, let alone being blown out. And?

His playing days have nothing to do with the way he speaks today. If you like the way he talks I won't call you crazy. I don't like the way he talks or the things he says. It's not about sounding hard...I'm just not a fan of the philosophical chess playing data collection talk.

I made a simple point that a lot of fans have made. I don't really want to continually dog Pope but if you want to hear me make the same point or go into detail about the negative things I will. I've said positive things many times but nobody ever wants me to double down on the positive stuff or go into detail of the good things that have been said.

Well when you're team is down 30 points giving zero effort and you're just standing there you deserve the loudest boos possible. It's not hard to take players out of the game and send a message.

So to you those fans like myself who went to Nashville and spent real money to see them not even try are low IQ? Na maybe those that booed were the real fans who respect the standard. Maybe they were actually the high IQ fans that seen what they seen. I for one didn't boo but was very happy that most of the 20,000 fans did.

Sorry man but that’s funny.

You won’t convince me that dumb fans set the standard. Sorry.

🤦‍♂️

You respect those who booed and you were there but you did not? THEY were the high IQ real fans? If that is your take it probably deserves some self reflection . Lol

And, as a reader, you know that I did not say or imply fans who went to Nashville and paid for tickets were low IQ. You are trying too hard to be pissed. Good luck with that.

I'm not trying to convince you. Were you in the stands? Or was it just the dumb fans that traveled and spent real money to support the team? Pope deserved the boos. Or maybe just a pat on the back and somebody tell him you'll get em next time tiger....

I was in the stands. I did not boo because I'm reserved in public. I was glad to see other fans boo. I'm not a loud fan. I clap when there's something to clap for and sit there quiet when everyone else is booing.

There was not a single moment in that game a fan could clap for or cheer. It was silent other than the music and boos.

Again, take a breath, and see I never called someone dumb for being in the stands. I had season tix for years and have attended away games.

I stand by my comment that it is low IQ fans, perhaps low EQ fans, who boo their teams when they are upset with play or losses. Sorry.

Dude you keep acting like fans boo when we lose. That's the first time in my life I have seen our own fans boo the head coach and it was for good reason. You act like it was a normal game or normal loss. Maybe rewatch that game and come back.

We didn't score a bucket the first five minutes. We got beat by 35 in a primetime game. Not because we didn't have the talent to compete but because whatever was going in that locker room and Pope took no actions to send a message or show any fire. He just sat there accepting his players not giving a crap.

You are trying to act like people who traveled didn't have the right to boo and are low IQ for feeling disrespected. It was extremely disrespectful as I've stated again. It wasn't your ordinary loss. Hell it wasn't even that we lost by 35. It was the body language of Pope and his team.

Your reading compression during this hissy fit has been atrocious. I never said this was a normal occurrence. Thank God it is not. How embarrassing would that be for UK to have the world see its fans are the college equivalent of Philly Eagles fans?

It sucked. You don’t boo your team. Move on or grow up.

By the way, I guarantee you that at some time someone was in Stokes’ ear asking, “Do you really want to go somewhere that boos their own players?” Thanks.

The facts are the boos did happen. So you're not talking to me..you're talking to the 20,000 fans that were booing. We're all immature and need to grow up? Seems like most of BBN was on the same page..

And just so this is clear since I'm the one that has bad comprehension skills...nobody was booing the team. They were booing Mark Pope.

So you say what you would like to happen. Which is move on or grow up. But in reality what really happens is be a better coach or you will get booed. That's some facts for you. Not what I think. Mark Pope got booed off the court and it will happen again if he allows the Kentucky brand to be disrespected like that again. I bet my life on it.

Possible. Or he could be in his own head and say I don't want to play for a weak ahh coach.. but we'll never know. What we do know is Kentucky won't sniff a number one player while Pope is here. But let's blame the fanbase.

Even tho I just said this I need to say it again....the fans didn't boo our team. They booed Mark Pope. The fans stayed till the last buzzer to support their team.lets make that clear.

LOL - yeah dude, you know the intent of the boos. Everyone on TV heard UK fans booing. But, get that PR campaign out there that the “Boo whisperer” is here to tell us that those where Pope “boos” and not Team “boos.” Good luck with that.

Don’t create the PR problem by acting the fool and you want have to dance around and act like it did not matter. Have a good day.
