I'll take the 2004 Troy version.
The first one was HOT but could have used fake boobs (while not historically accurate I would have been fine with that artistic liberty)
But the first one was also SOOOOO lame in that movie...but the movie was awesome.
She (04) is very attractive playing Helen of Troy. That still frame though of the 26 version does her no favors though...yikes
Those big enough? The first one was HOT but could have used fake boobs (while not historically accurate I would have been fine with that artistic liberty)

Homer did not describe Helen with any specifics, except the statement she had 'white' skin which is a euphemism for being 'pale complexion of aristocratic women who stayed indoors, out of the sun'.[101][102]From what I remember from my college days, the earliest artistic depictions present Helen of Troy as a more olive-skinned woman. She wasn't as dark as Lupita Nyong'o, but she was clearly darker than the fair-skinned, blonde version that has become the 'traditional' look today. That pale version only became popular when Western European (Italian, French, and English) artists began producing their own ideas of what she looked like. She became much more Northern European looking over time than she was originally illustrated.
Heat is one of those movies that should have been a bigger hit but it was not a true action movie...so my guess is that it lost some of the audience.I donโt remember Heat being a particularly good movie . But I think I was a teenager and was probably watching it half asleep. There are probably 50 movies. I need to go back and rewatch but really pay attention this time.
Kind of like the English white wimpy, depiction of Jesus. From what I remember from my college days, the earliest artistic depictions present Helen of Troy as a more olive-skinned woman. I will add that the frescoes in Pompei depict a very white skinned woman as well.
There are references in both "The Iliad" and "The Odyssey" of dark skinned people, both soldiers and women. Helen was not. I realise this is all made up, but historically she was described as white or fair skinned.
Now little Ellen Page does not offend me as there are multiple references to homosexuality and other odd proclivities, so in that way she fits right in.
Athena casting is fine too in my opinion.
That said, I have no plans to go see it.
Potentially, most depictions of Jesus coincide with that of Helen of Troy, some early interpretations show him more in a Mediterranean way, olive skinned and darker hair, but the Renaissance artists, in a way to spread religion, portrayed him in a more light skinned manner, looking more "like us"Kind of like the English white wimpy, depiction of Jesus.
I think you are going to get the super nuts on the right that just **** on it...and then the super nuts on the left that think it is not "woke enough"IDK man, Rotten Tomatoes this morning, with over 600 reviews, was sitting at a 97% approval rating. Can't suck that bad.
The trailers didnโt do it for me. I do not like his cinematography.I think you are going to get the super nuts on the right that just **** on it...and then the super nuts on the left that think it is not "woke enough"
Then the normal people that just realize it is a movie and treat it as it is...which is a 2-3 hour way to kill time.
I get that. For me...I just watch movies to kill time. It will take me 4-5 days to finish a movie. I just watch a few minutes here and there. The trailers didnโt do it for me. I do not like his cinematography.
I watched this YouTube video a while back where the guy went into great detail about why movies in the past were so much better. We have a ton of lazy movie making this day that is overly reliant on CGI. They screw with the lighting too much and the emotional connection with the characters just isnโt there. Movies today are **** for the most part.
Ive never seen Tenet but I have not heard good things about it. Dunkirk is better in a second viewing after kinda figuring the timelines out....Interstellar is a good one but still a bit of a timeline issueIโve got a love-hate thing with Nolan. I never know what Iโm gonna get with him. Oppenheimer? Fantastic. Dunkirk? We deserve better.
I'm no history professor but I think Helen of Troy was white and beautiful.
What a smokeshow!!!!
