Anybody got any great, comfortable bargains? I'm 6ft 185 (don't worry I can still take any of you at South Farm
so long as I stay anonymous here and don't have to actually show up
)

I'm looking at: Branch Ergonomic Chair (~$400) - about as high as I'm willing to go

On the other end of the spectrum, I'm considering: Staples Hyken (~$200 or less)

A couple of plastic milk crates stacked on each other with a towel on the top so you don't have diagonal lines engraved in your arse work pretty well.

I bought a gamer chair off Amazon for about 150 bucks. They are usually loud and obnoxious colors but I found one that was pretty plain. Has a head rest pillow, arms, thick padded seat, lumbar support and a small retractable foot rest too. Far superior to the run of the mill office chairs priced at 100 or less

I have 3 or 4 coworkers who bought Secret Labs chairs and love them. I have a Serta that I did love, but the pleather is now pulling away after about 5 years.

A little over your budget, but I highly recommend the Steelcase Leap V2. Great adjustability, all day comfort, excellent ergonomics.
I got one last year for home after using one in my office at work for years and suffering through many crap office depot chairs at home. I got a remanufactured one from BTOD.com - new upholstery and cushions, new arm rests, new cylinder, looks brand new, and was 600 instead of 2K.

2K for a chair? Does it come with a 23 year old secretary who hides under your desk? Maybe I'm completely out of touch with reality or just the poorest person on this board or both...but damn.

I got the big and tall Serta. The cushion didn’t last long.

I’ll second the Secret Labs recommendation. Mine is 5 years old and looks basically brand new. I got the fabric version. Pleather always flakes after a few years.

I'm admittedly a large individual but I just bought a Shaquille O'Neal Maximos chair from office depot and am very happy with it.

We replaced all of our office chairs with these about 2 years ago. So far they have held up very well and dang good for the price.

curios about the lumbar support here, I don't have a bad back per se, but a short time in my office chair has me feeling like I do. This is the only chair that does this for me, I think it is probably one I bought from Sam's years ago.

The lumbar support is decent and probably the best support I've had in an office chair. Granted I don't have back issues either but other cheaper chairs such as an amazon basic would kill my back after 9 hrs.

I have a similar mesh chair at the house with a mid back height that I got from Costco and it kills my back and the seat is junk and uncomfortable after 4 hrs.

Bought this in January. Don't love it. Don't hate it. It's cheap and my back has been fine in it.
