OT: WKU FB Vicktory Vaka Denied Transfer after Going to Funeral

Sounds like the staff didn't want him to return and was hoping he would just move on. I don't think it had anything to do with going to a funeral.
I agree but also screw the wku staff for classifying him weird
This needs to go to the highest court in the land and end in WKU paying eight figures in @sshole tax. There is a place for FAILURE TO REPORT and it is certainly not in a situation like that.

I have a hard time believing WKU's staff pulled this on a guy because he went to his mom's funeral. There HAS to be more to this. There's a backstory. Guaranteed.
I read the article and it seemed like both sides were leaving some details out.
It seems like they were concerned about his off season workouts and keeping his weight down.
This is such a bad look there has to be more to the story. Otherwise WKU wins the award for the worst PR this year.
From what I understand (and if someone has more details they can correct me if I’m wrong) is the guy asked for 2 weeks away after the passing, which was rightfully granted. Then 2 months went by with no communication from him and they decided to cut him loose. Which is understandable.
Yeah pretty weak. Seems like they used this as an excuse to replace him but to put him on the list where he can’t transfer is dirty.
Yeah they used this as a BS reason to replace him. The dirty part was making it so he couldn’t go anywhere else and effectively ends his career after the most difficult thing in his life so far I’m sure.
The article I read said a little different story though. He was expected back like middle of the month and he text his coaches, not the head coach and told them he wouldn’t be back until the end of the month. The school framed it as bad communication from both sides. Sounded to me like they wanted him gone over his weight and used this as an excuse to do it. If they wanted to cut him fine, but let him go somewhere else. That’s what is dirty to me.
