An email went out describing new premium seating in South Endzone and Private Tents in the Scoreboard Club, this prompted me to look at my BC account to see if I could find details, but what struck me is that when I looked at the BC Members there were only 7635 Members posted in the Club. There are usually 10-12K, not sure if this is accurate but if so that is a huge delta

Are you sure that wasn't your number and the total is 10k

I thought that I remembered 11k - 12k members at some point in the past. I just looked at my rank on my dogtag account & it showed 7635 members. It isn't outside the realm of possibilities that they somehow overlooked 3k - 4k members in the rerank last year.

I think they maybe didn’t cull the list. Like if you gave one year but didn’t the next - you still counted. This is me completely guessing.

There are quite a number of folks that are in the Bulldog Club in order to buy better season tickets. Given that, when season tickets are down it only makes sense that Bulldog club numbers will be down too.

They changed the point system in 2024. I'm pretty sure they culled the membership at the time of that change. I think it's been about 7600 members since then.

Possible, but I thought that I remembered it being North of 10k since then, possibly they culled some after this years season ticket deadline?

It used to be north of 10K but I think HeCannotGo has the timeframe about correct. I even think it was around 14K at some point.

Anyone paying attention can see the football attendance and realize interest is way way down. Therefore season tickets are way down and BC donations are way down.

it seems that the AD office has a modern system now and those are real time numbers.

What's interesting to me is..... thank God for baseball.... or that number could be half if it was just up to football sales. However with that said, I imagine most of those numbers are season tickets holders for both sports.

It's been in the 12,000's for a good while in the past. I was always amazed because I'm not a huge donor by any means but I was always in like the 4,000s w/ no more than I gave. I haven't checked it in last couple years, decided I'd break my original agreement w/ my kids and help pay off their loans instead of paying for athletes personal lives............

Feel like it’s a combo of bad football plus Bulldog Initiative/State Excellence/etc, making it seem like giving to the BDC isn’t the top priority for many.

As others have said, a lot of our BDC giving is directly tied to season ticket sales, and when we have a combined record of 12-25 in the last three years…. That’s a problem on multiple fronts.

Can you see the rank on a mobile device or have to log in on a computer? I can never find mine

I thought there was even a thread about the reduction at the time. Just for grins I looked up my points and the line items that make it up and there's the "Legacy Points" line, frozen 7/24. As you said, pretty sure they "cleaned up their records" as part of the transition and been about that since. No idea what the criteria was for the clean up (no activity X years, etc.?) but seems it was certainly in the 12,000ish before hand.

I'm in the BC, but they need to do something for some incentive other than "get tickets" which let's be honest, it's easy to get tickets.

For example, The USGA was running a special membership deal after the US Open this year where you could join for $45 and get a US Open Hat (like the one below) plus the other benefits of membership. That's a hard deal to say no to if you play golf.

Selmon will get alot of cred for the BOC hire but he absolutely screwed the pooch on the HC football hire AND simultaneously raising BC contribution levels.

That's a good point. But does the University offer any incentives, like football tickets to people who give?

I would think even if someone reduced their BC contribution to give (the latest NIL entity) that the person would still give a minimum to the bc for game tickets.

The only nil incentive was the baseball one to my knowledge and it was pretty ridiculous. 250 for a flag I think. That said the flag was big. I thought that they could have have smaller ones for 100 and they might have sold more. Was a very limited list. Hopefully they are doing this and with more options that I am not aware of.

- I think that there is a site to buy players cards and stuff like that.

I mean...the program isn't great atm, the economy is in absolute shambles, everything is more expensive (including season tickets) with less return, older people with disposable income are dying and younger people don't have near the disposable income the older generation did at their age. Plus as others have said we have so many other avenues of giving now with NIL company's that BDC doesnt seem as important.
