Like the folks who lost their minds over Bud Light going "gay" and freaking out over inclusivity, right?
I found myself enjoying a good chuckle this weekend.

Democrats want to be inclusive to the religion who thinks females are second class citizens.

Think about that for a minute and actually think about it.

Don’t care about whataboutism. Not how this started. Kirk was not a tolerant individual, socially, full stop. He “debated” by speaking over people.

Christian nationalism is a bad thing if you believe in a separation of church and state. Or believe in a woman’s right to choose. Or believe that men and women are equal. You know, things like that. Christian nationalism is also very close to the “Positive Christianity” ideology which wasn’t great.
By your standard nobody is tolerant then if they dont agree with you 100%. Also its not a whataboutism, its a fact about the left. Charlie was way more tolerant of the left than the left was of him...

I believe these types of discussions are useful for the Democratic party.
Big tent as opposed to the trump- cult GOP,right?

I still think that cobbling together the kind of winning coalition to stop trump is priority # 1.

That means tailoring the message to each district/state while maintaining the traditional democratic posture on national issues

In Iowa, the main local issues:

1. Economy, especially agricultural economy....free trader state...not exactly a traditional democratic stance but for an exporting state it is popular.

2.Environment....water quality. Farmers dismiss this problem but there are less than 100k farmers ,so the majority of voters are concerned.

These are iowa-centric issues, not NYC or cali.

That is why Iowa Dems are running moderates like rob sand and josh Turek.

Abolishing ICE. , defunding police , type of rhetoric does not sell for Dems/ indys in Iowa.

In the end this is still about naked political power to get at least one chamber in Congress to combat trump.
In 2028 , we can have the full blown intra-party squabble as we choose a candidate.
3. Cultural issues cut against Democrats here....stay clear of it beyond insisting on fair and equal treatment of all citizens

4. Education...very expensive voucher program is not popular...rural communities are shut out w no options so need to use it there, politically.
irony escapes you

Thats a misrepresentation of what people were mad about. Simply they got pissed that Bud started to target kids with their ads by using him. Most of that guys followers were under 21 at that time. Not a group a beer company should be targeting....

It is for them, but then they cheer the destruction of the Dept of Education. Progressives don't just say the words, they vote for the programs and are willing to pay for them.

Which programs will lead us toward a world class education, how much will they cost, and how are we funding them?

I live in Massachusetts. Arguably the best public school system in the nation (by some metrics/analyses it was the only state with a "world class" system already), and both my kids are finishing up their high school educations in public school. Their choice, as I've offered to allow them to go to a prep school, or a private school, or a charter school, or even school choice between public schools ... all of which are options in MA ... and they've stated they wanted to stay in their public school. I've seen a lot ... some I've liked, some I definitely have not ... but, then again, I knew my kids would be successful, regardless of the quality of education, as they were mentally healthy and had very smart, accomplished parents who stressed academics first. My anecdotal experiences can only go so far ... so what will accomplish a world class education for everyone ... or as many people as possible?

Dems are automatically inclusive of anything that's even slightly anti-Trump,... They can't help themselves anymore.

Not true at all. To say he was tolerant is disingenuous at best. Low bar to clear with him being more tolerant because a nut job assassinated him. But feel free to do as y'all do and paint that person as representative of "the left".

i think it's more progressives would rather their money go TOWARDS something like that instead of going towards bombs being dropped in another seemingly forever-war in the Middle East that, shockingly enough, Republicans seem to be getting us into AGAIN

I am aware that you libs and leftists love the dystopian version of America thats in your dreams. MAGA people also love the and want to preserve the version of America that we want to preserve and enhance. Its a battle. Game on.

Maga is a fascist movement. It uses fear to gather votes to get the votes to enact the will of the oligarchs. Magas claim to be America first are okay with whatever war Trump wants or any other action. Maga pretends to care about child sex trafficking, and even virtue signalled by buying tickets for other people to go to Sound of Freedom, however, when the Trump administration breaks the law daily by not releasing the rest of the Epstein files his maga base doesn't seem to care.

Maga had an oligarch gathering for the inauguration where one of the oligarchs tossed up a Nazi salute. Magas don't care when Trump tears down a third of the WH. Magas don't care when the president runs a crypto rugpull. Magas don't care that Trump made 1.5 billion in crypto scams in 2025. Magas don't care when the reflecting pool gets ruined by a no bid government contract. Magas are gleeful to watch the UFC on WH grounds.

Progressives want people to have healthcare, paid maternity leave, and don't want to pay for Israel to genocide Gaza or bomb random towns in Lebanon.

Totally the same.

Thank you for the GASLIGHTING.

I will stick to my Conservative Christian Moderate America First MAGA values that are setting the stage for the Golden Age of America

Keep posting because you make the case for people to follow my ideology

What are the extremist beliefs that you ascribe to me as a liberal progressive?
What things do you want to see changed in our society and by what government actions?

You can answer that question, or keep portraying yourself as capable of nothing more than vacuous (at best) platitudes.

You’ve chosen a strange tactic to keep driving home the point that my initial premise was correct, but you gotta do what you gotta do, I guess.

He was very tolerant, he just didnt agree with you on many issues. You do understand that lack of agreement isnt the same as lack of tolerance? Tell us how he wasnt tolerant? He wasnt calling for violence against the left, but the left was calling for violence against him/his family and was murdered by the left for having a different opinion...

The leftist use fear to get people to vote a certain way. They have to lie about the right and paint us as things that we are not. The facts are they accuse us of what they are in fact doing. Being MAGA ive never heard of half of the bs they claim we want......

As I have said for several years, elected republicans are terrified of their base. Elected democrats hate their base.

Schumer calls for more training in a strongly worded tweet after the terrorist organization known as ICE kills another person, this time in Maine.

Hakeem Jeffries, also known as AIPAC Shakur thanks to Charlamagne the God, defied the base and remained loyal to a foreign genocidal state in a recent vote

They aren't democrats. They are donorcrats. They serve the donors, not us.

Dem Leaders NEVER Miss an Opportunity to Give Their Own Base the Finger

Your inability to parent is biting you in the *** again. Your democratic fathers told you to deny being a socialist and use the cloak and dagger. Now your ****** kids are saying the quite part out loud about your freeloading asses.

Gen X's three preceding generations benefited significantly from democratic socialism. It was the generation that ruined pretty much everything, Boomers, that pulled up the ladder behind them. As usual, you are completely out to lunch. Do better.

I am a far left, liberal progressive who has voted for Gavin Newsom (twice), Kamala Harris (three times), despite thinking that they are more moderate than I would prefer. And yet, nothing attributed by posters in this thread to far left, liberal progressive like me has been accurate thus far.

Who is your ideal candidate...Bernie Sanders?
