Oh I agree but If the NCAA is at least going to try and do something, the new rule has to start sometime. Guys now being denied an extra year due to injury suing next?
Aberdeen has been practicing all summer with the Gators. Here we go.
Congress has to get involved soon, or we need an NCAA CBA. The NCAA has to be able to make their own rules, we can't have the rulebook being updated by judges across the country.
This has to stop!
This will be fought against, it’s not going to stand. We can’t keep having these schools with donor judges who completely disregard all the rules they make. Congress and our worthless representatives need to pass something to help this out yesterday.
The judiciary in this country is out of control.
God I hope not. He was at the center of the suspected turmoil and it was “his team” last year that quit enough other teams laughed about it publicly.
At this point Lebron could find a judge who'd rule he could sign with an NCAA team.
The NCAA didn't cause this, but they put the wheels in motion a long time ago by allowing stupid exceptions to provide extra eligibility. There should never have been redshirts, medical redshirts, grad-school transfers, etc. And they made it 1000% worse by giving everybody an extra year due to COVID.
He's not coming back and probably doesn't even want to. But it would be nice to see him come back and kick Aberdeen and Floridas ***
Without digging in, I find it hard to believe the contract claims will succeed. The injunction standard is fairly uniform throughout jurisdictions. I find it hard to believe this injunction motion exceeded the bar, but time will tell.
