All the freaking starters last year? To start.

No telling about the prospects throughout the years. There's just no plan. Can't just run to the portal like our fans think.

You understand that linemen grow up? 2011 Blaine Clausell was getting flat-backed every play. Got better each year and led up to 2014 where he was a stalwart.
You don’t know anything. First. We lost Reese due to graduation. We lost Lewis who was god aweful, James who was only here a semester and he wasn’t very good. Did you see Owen’s how bad he was? You talk about developing players yet refuse to acknowledge that both the jucos who RS have improved and are back. Return steen who was the starter and added better players in McVay Chester and Prudhomme. You brought up a guy who hasn’t played in 12 years as an example. Again. Do more research

I happen to like our OL. I don’t think they will be perfect but they will be solid This will be the first time in 4 years we have an OL that has gone through winter, spring, summer and preseason camp together.
LT Myles McVay. Big athletic guy with good feet and upper body strength
LG DJ chester. Was all freshmen SEC at LSU as a center/Guard in 2024. They tried to move him to both tackles and he just wasn’t a Tackel.
Center. Cannon Boone. Can’t be said enough but guy has paid his dues and has played some snaps. Another year in the system and I think his best football will be this year.
RG. LJ Prudhomme. Shreveport native signed with AR out of HS. Was pencilled in as a starters for AR before he hit the portal. Guy is a beast in the weight room. Good size explosive hands, will move people.
RT. Shumpert. JUCO guy who played in 4 games last year. According to reports from staff and others light has come on and he has really improved. Was one of the top JUcO OL prospects. If he continues to improve he could swing to LT.
Backups. Miles (JUCO) Steen (UVA) Miller (LSU) Nash (FSU), Mathews (FSU) Lockhart (RSF) Dent ( OU). Have some other RS freshman who will battle as well
3*, 3*, 3*, 3*, 3*. That typically doesn't win a lot of games in the SEC.

Worst unit to have worries about. Obvious reasons for offense as the offense goes as the line goes in basically any system.

But I'm worried about Arnette. He's proven capable and we have talent on the side of the ball. Can he overcome having the defense on the field for extended periods when the offense isn't clicking? Under Leach, he had the benefit of a clock burning ball control offense. He won't have that under Lebby.

Let's all be honest, we're offically into the "experiment" stages of Miss. State football at this point.

Show me you didn’t do any research. So if I’m understanding you… if anyone else signed a a HS 4 star but they then sign with another school out of the portal but maintain that 4 star rating without doing anything They are still a four star? But at MsU they are just three stars….
Mcvay Chester were 4 star out of HS. Nash miller and Dent were 4 star out of HS.

He worked under lane in 24. No he wasn’t the DC, but I’m sure he learned a lot

All 3* out of the portal. Doesn't matter what their HS rating was, no matter whether they sign with us or someone else. By your logic, Dak Prescott would still be a 3* player after his JR season. Newsflash, rankings change from year to year based on the players performance that year. I do agree some of these OL will turn out to be OK or even good. But some won't. That's just how it goes when you sign 3* players. But when you're starting five 3* players on OL and the rest of the league is starting mostly 4* and 5*, you're kind of at a disadvantage. I'd feel a lot better about our OL if we were playing in Big 12 or ACC.

I think you are miss informed. You would be shocked to see how many 3stsr players are starting for other SEC teams. You and others are chalking up a L to South Carolina and they lost both tackels to injuries from the portal. You and others are chalking up Mizz as a loss they they took two of our OL from last year (3 stars btw) and lastly you and others chalking up Minn as a loss and they are starting 3 stars. You clearly don’t understand recruiting projections or development. Lots of 4 and 5 stars especially on the OL flame out

You always default to what someone 'knows'. Nobody gives a 17 how much you know, who you know or how much practice you watch.

You guys that so desperately want to be in the 'know' is a big part of what holds MSU back.

If Lebby is a good coach (at best you can say he’s still unproven), you can talk yourself into us being good if Kamario lives up to the hype and other positions are just respectable.

But you can also pretty easily talk yourself into us starting 1-4 and he’s fired by mid October.

I give money that helps… doesn’t hold us back. I attend games. That helps…not giving not attending games…. That holds us back
What I pointed out that you couldn’t defend was the fact that every player on the OL that has left during the Lebby era hasn’t developed at their next stop. Then pointed out we are developing players and your response is that people like me hold msu back. Maybe do free research before spouting off things you clearly know nothing about

Every time I catch myself starting to feel remotely good about a position group, I then remember that we play in the SEC, and I feel... a lot less good
I can understand this feeling. I’d like to point out that South Carolina is a game we could win. Minnesota is definitely a game we can win and probably will. Vandy will come back down to earth. Auburn hasn’t had a winning season since 2020 and bringing in that usf roster doesn’t scare me. I think this year schedule is much more manageable than the last two. Additionally we have upgraded talent and coaching
