I'm not sure what was more disappointing..wanting to see Mike Tyson whoop Jake Paul and then completely sell out for money or getting myself pumped up for the McGregor return just for it to be over in three seconds.
I was never hyped for the Tyson fight. He’s old as **** and every Paul fight is hype for easy money. Total BS that dude makes this kind of money to put on a sham show like this over and over again. If it was a contract Tyson would murder him still.

He lost that quick. So sad that after all that rehab and hype dude tore his ACL on the first kick of the match. Reminds me of Tiger. A former champ whose body is just broken and he can’t get it to cooperate anymore.
Yea unfortunately I think that’s it for Conor. I don’t think it’ll just be his decision either.

I believe he has 1 fight left on his contract , so he will be back one more time. He didnt add any fights to his deal and already has a date for next fight 4/27. I think he wants to do his own thing and be done with UFC

exactly Tyson could have murdered him just like Anthony Joshua did. And that's what I expected. I get they are rigged but I figured Tyson would do what Anthony did.

Brutal to think an athlete fought for five years to return only to get injured lition the opening strike.

This is now a broken leg and 3 acls I think. You can pretty much bet they will serve up Michael Chandler as his ufc retirement gift. If not it will have to be another squash match if he is to win.

Paddy looked awesome. Going to be interesting to see what's next from him. I think hes the best bjj skillset in the ufc. That modified anaconda he created on the fly was just insane.

Steveson won handily but still has major gaps in his standup defense. Some shots got through that would've been a problem vs better competition. He will be great, but they will still have to curate the next few fights for him.

Green is always entertaining and was surprised to see him rally.

If Stevenson develops real skills on the ground and defense he will be a champion.

How? You got guys that get their brain smashed in and knocked unconscious....and they still stay and give interviews.... McGregor twisted his knee or tore something and runs out of the arena and does no interviews.
You must be a casual fan. It’s not that uncommon at all for one guy to split and not do the Rogan interview. The dude just blew his knee 5 seconds in after a full camp and a full media tour. I can’t imagine what was going through his head. What were you expecting to hear from him anyway? What could he possible have to say that everyone watching couldn’t surmise with their eyes already?

I wasn't mad or don't feel like he has to. Just when you're a professional and millions are involved you would expect to hear something if you didn't even get to witness a fight. They get paid to entertain fans at the end of the day.

Even Dana was disappointed but still at the end of the day I get it. I get what you're saying and agree with ya. Just at least would like to hear anything from him. He's the man regardless which is why he can do what he wants.

He’s going to be a champion one day IMHO. He is a monster. So athletic and fast. As you said a huge ball of muscle.
It will take some time for him. He is obviously a great grappler, and he throws heat standing up, but his chin is right there to get hit, and that cupcake was hitting him right on the button. A high level striker will get him out of there quick if he doesn't fix that. But he has the potential

I didn’t really see athletic or fast in this fight. Let me put it like this Josh hokit has miles better striking and probably could beat gable, Derrick Lewis would also probably put his lights out.

You didn’t see athletic? The dude is fast as hell, and a brick house. Have you ever seen him wrestle? He can do a back flip like it’s nothing. So your position is that a guy with 10 pro fights would beat him, and a guy who has fought over 40 MMA matches could beat him? Maybe so but he is young and just starting out. He has a bright future imho. This is only his like 4th or 5th pro fight.

He has a a great training staff that is for sure. If one learns from Jon Jones it doesn’t get much better than that.

Yeah, he has potential, and he has a great tool he can use, but it depends on how he evolved. Lesnar seemed unstoppable for a while, as did Rousey on the women's side, but they were protected by Dana in their matchups, but once they were exposed as one dimensional, they started getting KO'd left and right. He should pattern himself after a guy like D.C., who was a great grappler but was a student of the game and became well rounded. I think he has a shot, he is a hard worker

Yeah, I saw Greg Jackson over there as well. Jon Jones is an interesting guy for him, the best fighter ever, but night and day different physically to Steveson

Derrick Lewis won't win another fight the rest of his career. He looked like he could barely stand up at the White House.

Well he's said plenty since the right on social media and whatnot. Conor a polarizing figure. When he snapped his leg in half in the cage last time he did the interview while on the ground and people were critical that he did the interview while so badly injured. This time he again gets badly injured and he's getting criticism for not doing an interview.

I don't think he was criticized last time for doing an interview on the ground... probably what he said to Dustin and his wife lol. But yes he was on the ground when he said that messed up stuff.

But maybe he was. Either way I said I agree with ya. I'm not really criticizing him anyway I was just disappointed and wanted to hear from him. I was bummed out but I'm sure not half as bad as he was. I probably would have done the same thing he did.

His legs looked like Connors should lol

Also yes I most definitely am a casual. I like sports. I like fighting. I know every single one of those guys in the ufc would snap me and probably even the women.

I grew up playing every sport and enjoy watching every sport besides baseball and golf. I'm a die hard UK fan but also just a casual because what else could I be? It's just sports. I have a good bit of knowledge about them all but also have a family 😅 casual sums it up perfectly.

Oh his ground game is insane. Iirc he was an Olympic gold medalist. He is focusing right now on striking but really raw there. Still the athleticism is incredible.
Yeah his wrestling is elite, he was a two time NCAA champ and one of the best college wrestlers ever. I mean in a martial arts sense. You can tell he has good power. He definitely has a leg up with his speed and size, combined with his great training staff leads me to believe he could be a top heavyweight for years to come.

That's exactly how I saw it. If that was respectable competition, he gets at least dropped.

Hokit has a similar flaw, but uses athleticism to get in and out to avoid hits. Gable needs to either get on that train or develop SOME head movement or SOME defense. He cannot have non existent defense once he starts getting into deeper waters. He just looked so far away, I figure they will have to curate his next few opponents to ensure he gets where he needs to get.

No doubt, when Dana sees a potential star he knows how to protect them. He will feed Steveson strikers with no ground game at all or wrestlers with no stand up. A string of one dimensional fighters like himself till he has a title shot

The number 1 base skill an MMA fighter should have is wrestling and it that is at an elite level then it's basically like being born on third base in the sport. An Olympic gold medalist is the golden goose. On top of that he moves like a cat and is strong and aggressive. Dana white will put a lot of care into making him a star. GS tried WWE but he was horrible at it. MMA seems to suit him much more.
