This is 2nd hand take on today's 7 on 7. I was told South Caldwell only scored one time. And that was from Maiden player going for the pick and fell down. I was told K1 had a couple touchdowns and javian had a touchdown and an interception. Mackey and Coulter had TDs. Was told both quarterbacks look good with varsity reps. Told Blackwell missed 1 throw and Davis over threw javien one time.

I don’t know, could be wrong, but Bandys is in a location that is likely to experience a lot of growth within the next several years like East Lincoln has. If that happens, it will bump them up into a higher classification, but for non-conference/more than one classification games with smaller schools in this area, it could make them very hard to beat.

They won't add football players most likely. They might get pretty good at baseball and soccer. Expensive housing growth improves non-contact sports more than it does contact sports

They will need more than that haha
Bandys can’t win a close game…… That’s a fact…
Meaningful game anyways
He's a big kid for a receiver but not too sure how athletic he is or fast. I think he's 6'3-180 from what I'm told. To me the size says TE. I know he works with the speed coach Blake who also become a coach at bandy's this year. Hence the connection and the transfer.

Also here's the thing you can have the biggest best receivers and it doesn't matter if the defense can get the quarterback on the ground. When we played reidsville a few years back they were a good example of that. I don't think bandy's quarterback is a mobile one.

Bandys will be a run first team and quick pass game. Qb isn't mobile and can't create extended opportunities. I would think Newton QB would be same scouting report
I watched some film on Newton QB didn't see him run any

I really don't understand your statement. Expensive housing is not being built in this county right now. Most of what I see being built will not last 15 years. One of our best wide reciever's dad is our head soccer coach.

In general the housing being built is expensive upperclass homes near lake. And those parents tend to be the ones who let there kids play baseball and soccer. They typically keep their kids away from sports that they feel will cause future issues with head injuries or contact injuries. It's not a catch all for everyone but in general.

A typical cookie cutter house in these new developments away from sherrills Ford, example startown road is $350-400,000. That's expensive

Aint many homes being built today under 300k. Off topic but I could see some trailer parks, tiny home type places popping up to accommodate cheaper housing.
I'd love to own a trailer park where I just rented lots šŸ˜‚. Passive income, once u put the infrastructure in u sit back and just collect money

Somebody must have forgot to tell East Lincoln.

Hoping these young ones learn trades like….HVAC, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, roofing, etc. etc.

When these new houses start falling apart…business will be booming.

I couldn’t agree more with Duck….these housing developments that are exploding around us are not built well. I’ve lived in this county for a long time and I’ve never seen housing growth like this in our area.

It’s mind boggling!

Good to see you back on here brother! I was hoping to catch you last Friday night downtown but it fizzled out quicker than it started thanks to the storm.

It's like that here in Stokes and Forsyth County. Most homes don't look that well built and the developments with upscale homes are 700 thousand plus.

They are the exception because they basically a suburb of Charlotte. And not sure if all those kids live in district šŸ˜‚. They should rename the school North Charlotte lol
Don’t know, AMD, it might seem that way but if methodical research was done it might surprise us. Mooresville, Lake Norman and the Community School of Davidson probably have quite a few from upscale backgrounds, and feel pretty sure a good many who play for NCISAA teams are.

*Side note: There used to be a poster on here whose handle was ā€œFoot Soldier.ā€ He was a Charlotte Catholic guy and had connections to some posters in this area. Some years back a big rival for them (CC) was Charlotte Country Day.

One night, some of the public school posters were picking at him about playing Country Day. They were telling him how they were cupcakes and golf course types; So foot soldier tells them how hard CD is to beat. He also suggests that they should come down and watch them play.

This was in 2013, on a Saturday night, Catholic was playing Country Day there (at CD)…Catholic had Elijah Hood who would go on to play at Carolina, and they were really good.

I was off from work so I went down to watch the game. Country Day is located below South Park Mall on Carmel Road. Seems like the enrollment there was what was then big 1A or Small 2A.

When they came out they sprinted onto the field. They had some pretty good size but none of them looked overweight. From the opening kickoff to the end of the game they played harder than any team I’ve ever seen. Catholic would catch their quarterback in the backfield and he would run left, then right, then left again before they caught him or he made it around the corner.

When Catholic was on offense the CD defenders would come through the line full force. Elijah Hood was a punishing runner and they would hit him and hold onto him like angry yellow jackets. Catholic won by a point, something like 21-20.

CD rarely made mistakes or missed assignments. I asked someone sitting near me if they had brought their players into the school for football. He said most of them had been in the Country Day system since earlier grades. CD hasn’t done as well since the first Coach Witman left but to this day that was the hardest playing and most disciplined team I’ve seen.
