Except OL.

Rank are biggest question marks by position group with 1 being the biggest question.

1. OL
2. LB
3. DL
4. RB
5. Secondary
6. QB
7. WR

OL
DL
LB
WR (other then Evan’s)
QB
RB
Secondary
This is basically what I was thinking. QB worry is that KT hasn't shown truly reading defenses in a game (true freshman so didn't expect it). Also if KT is out of the game for any reason, there will be some puckering on a backup QB.

We did at least pick up some experience out of the portal so at least it wouldn't be another freshman.

Basically the same worry for WR (Evans is good but who else steps up). I will say Lebby has a great eye for WR talent.

The OL is the season period. And it won’t be good unless Miller has more say than Shades. Shades OL was bad at Colorado why Lebby thought it would get better here is like asking why he thought Hutzler needed year two

I want to be optimistic, we were a gnats rump from winning 8. We were also a gnats rump from winning 3. We have a razor thin margin and a brutal schedule

1. OL
2. QB

That’s the whole season. And QB is number 2 because 1 was so bad last year. KT has all the upper end talent in the world but he was almost killed in the bowl game. If 1 is bad as last year, he’s not making it through the year and we will not win a game without KT.

1. OL - how this hasn't been our top recruiting priority the last two or three years is beyond me.
2. DL - We have talent there, but depth is a concern
3. LB - Couldn't even begin to tell you what we have here. Our front seven has been a mess since Leach passed.
4. RB - I'm sure we have some talent behind Fluff, but we're asking them to do all the work since the OL uses the matador method of blocking.
5. DB - This unit shined last year and I expect bigger this year.
6. QB - KT is going to take an absolute beating this year. No idea what we have behind him but, unless our pass/run blocking is vastly improved, we'll be finding out.
7. WR - KT's short to mid-range accuracy wasn't particularly good last year, but hopefully that's taken a step up. If there's one thing I can trust in Lebby is that he'll find a WR. Wish we could've had another year of Thompson and Evans, but someone will have to step up for the former to give the latter more openings.

Also, let me point out that nobody mentioned the TE position because, aside from Seydou Traore, the position hasn't registered a blip on the radar in many years.

We don't know what Fluff is going to be like this year. That nasty knee injury may mean he has permanently lost some explosion. And behind this O line that's a death sentence.

DL and OL. Everything else is good. OL has a lot of talent out there if they can come together. Remember this is really Loadholts first year. He didn't get to recruit last year until spring and thats nothing but leftovers nobody wanted. He was brought in late. This is his group. DL to me is a concern. Probly the most talent we have had there in a couple years. Linebackers are very good. CB will be good. Safeties very good. Add Arnept into.the mix and I feel decent about it. Im optimistic about this year. Schedule is a nightmare but when is our schedule not a nightmare ???

If we do flop this year (and I blame all of it on a bad start due to poor staff decisions early on) would they make Arnett HC to finish the season?

Sorry someone had to bring it up. It was going too long staying on topic.

I am not excited about football. I debated about buying tickets this year, even with Arnett in his correct lane. Hutzler’s laughable defensive efforts soured all the good about the game day experience. Lebby does not fill me with confidence. Y’all get excited if you want.

I like our DL LB and of course secondary. We finally have depth and some pretty good DE. With Evans, Dink, Reed, Bledsoe, Diesel, Williams and some young guys we will be in a good shape depth wise. Add in Whitson A Williams at DE and we will see an increase in pressure and sacks. Love the young Guys like Gus Nickerson and Willis at edge/DE.
At LB. Smith, Lockhart, Tillman, Forest ,Gillette and rice.

OL
HC - see Florida and Texas
OL. yes, still worried
QB. if KT is out
WR. behind Evans
I’m a bit worried even if KT is in. He can make the spectacular plays as good as anyone. Can he make the routine plays? So far the answer has been no. His ceiling is sky high. But he has a lot he needs to improve on. Some QBs make that leap. Some never do.

I agree with pat. DL is a potential issue
We got that Whitson dude back, right? I think we will be ok on defense.

Offense is the issue. A QB not suited for Lenny. A suspect OL that again, we ran off folks last year we shouldn’t have. Only chance is if KT is in fact the Cam Newton clone many are claiming.

We do. And he looked real good vs Arizona St for 25 minutes. Does that translate for not being a good SEC defensive lineman. Maybe. If he can stay healthy, which has been a problem the last 2 years.

He's only played one full game and for the most part, still has a lot of those freshman-type mistakes to make.

I sure wish we had a former offensive lineman as Head Coach who could recruit offensive linemen.
