No idea. I didn't pay much attention to that this year, but I think you may be correct - they now have the cameras that keep the motion in the center of the video.

Next problem we have to fix in PA weather in January. I don't think AI has come up with a solution for that yet.
If electric consumption causes global warming, AI has a plan.

I'll never forgive you guys for Knox's 1 career HS loss

Just throwing this out there. Is the Max Dinges kid a lock for PSU. Kid is tough and I am excited to see how he does these next 2 days in Fargo.

He's good but depth level at D1 power conference schools. So maybe he comes to PSU for that, or maybe he goes elsewhere (say, Lock Haven) to start? He's 2028, so way early to tell.

Fargo is a massive step up from the competition he sees at Penns Valley. Hopefully he does well.

We don't hear nearly as much about M2 as we used to, but I am guessing he gets pretty decent competition to roll around with.

Perhaps, and we don't know to what extent they go all-out 6-minute reffed matches at M2 (I doubt it's frequent but whatever).

What we do know: in 2 years, Dinges has faced 4 possible D1 power conference starters in folk. By comparison, Sidun faced more than that just in his sophomore year before breaking his hand. That's not Dinges' fault, but it is something we see every year with rural AA kids -- their schools have weak duals schedules, and don't get invited to even 3rd tier tourneys unless they have a potential superstar in the lineup.

Over 1800 Junior boys is just an incredible number for a tournament. Those brackets must look insane. Edit: For kicks, I pulled up the 138 bracket. There are 151 wrestlers in the bracket. If I was reading the bracket correctly, a wrestler who loses their pigtail match can ultimately finish third if they win their next twelve consolation matches!

I saw something in Teag's Round of 16 match I have never seen before. When Teag went out to start the second period the referee sent him back to his corner for his coaches to dry off his back. His coaches dried him off and sent him back out. The referee checked his back once more and sent him back for his coaches to dry him off again. He then gave the coaches a yellow card in the process. I found this in the UWW International Wrestling Rules:

It is the duty of the coach to wipe his wrestler during the break. At the end of the break, his/her wrestler might not sweat any more. If these restrictions are not observed, the referee is obliged to ask the mat chairman to present the coach with a ‘Yellow’ card (caution); if he persists, the mat chairman will present him with a ‘Red’ card (elimination). The mat chairman may also present the YELLOW or RED card on his own initiative. As soon as the red card is given, the mat chairman reports to the competition director and the coach shall be eliminated from the competition and may no longer continue his duties. These facts also need to be report on the scoresheet of the concerned bout. However, the wrestling team involved shall have the right to obtain the services of another coach. The National Federation of the eliminated coach will be penalized following the dispositions of the Disciplinary and Financial Regulations. 22 Moreover, if a coach gets two yellow cards during one competition (not necessarily during the same bout), he will be also eliminated from the competition and may no longer continue his duties. As for the red card, his accreditation will be removed.

By these rules, J'Den Cox gets a yellow card immediately after entering the arena.
