He was one of the most unique players I've ever seen. Never really figured him out but he could have been a force in college.

Pope needs to show first game out that the team respects him, demonstrate last year was a complete fluke. If the team ever quits on him again like last year’s Gonzaga, I support mid season coaching change. If they are 3rd or worse in the SEC, I can wait until the end of the year.

I always felt like his biggest issue might’ve stemmed from the fact he didn’t necessarily grow up with basketball like someone from the states. I think if he can hold a roster spot he will just get better and better. If he could also just develop a 3 point shot he would have a very long career.

That team had a great chance. A healthy Butler and Robinson and I believe Carr would have been a force if not for his injuries.

If anything he got worse. He was conference defensive POY for 2 or 3 seasons. Then when he got to UK he couldn’t guard his shadow.
Same question for Moreno. What skill did he have at the end of the season that he didn’t get to UK with?
I do agree that Pope’s development of players has certainly affected recruiting.
According to Rafters almost every UK team should have or would have made a final four if this happened or that happened.

Lmao we were without Kerr, Robinson and had a half of a Butler and 3/4 of Carr. I mean it isn’t a stretch to say that team would’ve made the FF healthy. Hell, with just Robinson, Carr and Butler healthy we had a great shot.
