I remember watching him in OVW at the time Matt got involved. He was on the radio show a time or two. Seemed like a good dude.
I got the hype for Jade when she came in. I'm generally not much for quoting Bruce Prichard but I think "and then the damn bell rang" fits her perfectly. I think she's trying but it's just not coming to her. Give here Michin's wrestling ability and you'd have something great.
Due to business, I missed the Omega posts, so I’m late to the party here. I want to echo @Laparkafan and @American Dragon’s sentiments here about Kenny. He’s my favorite all-time wrestler bell to bell and I can agree he isn’t a mic guy. I will say Omega 2016-2018 did not need mic skills — he truly had a unique aura.
Shoot me, fellow AEW fans if you will. I’d still like Kenny to retire from AEW at the end of his current contract and take a two year deal in WWE to get one Wrestlemania moment before coming back to AEW as a full time executive.

- Better late than never with the baseball idea. Mainstream pub is hard to come by if you're a promotion not named WWE. It took years for regulars to stop saying WWF and the ones who still say WWF probably haven't watched since 1998 and never looked back. You gotta be really creative if you're AEW, not to overtake WWE in any way but to make sure people know there's a brand that exists outside the large WWE bubble. For many, wrestling is just the old territory days and then WWE.
- Rock needs to stop making his own decisions or fire his agent because either he, his agent, or both says yes to everything, including working with his annoying friends. People don't wanna see that dude make kid movies for 15 years. Guy is built like a tank and won't stop making comedies for nine year olds.
- Why are we pretending Jade really injured Bliss's arm? Why are we pretending her arm is actually broken? Why? Summerslam is three weeks away and we all assumed it'd be Charlotte vs Jade, right? It's an injury angle to take out Charlotte's bestie...

WWE wouldn't know what to do with Kenny. A smallish* guy that can wrestle but can't talk? Those people don't have good track records in WWE.
*he is only listed at 6 feet tall so subtract at least two inches from that
He’s just as tall as Shawn Michaels (5’10” in real life) and Chris Jericho and is filled out a lot more. He’d be more than fine. He wants a Wrestlemania moment and, as a fan, I want him to have one. Clock is ticking for that.

AJ Styles anyone? He's not tall and not all that great on the mic.
Omega would've been fine but they would have needed to put him with Heyman or something. Omega would have needed to drop the theater kid act on the mic which is what it is. Cornette may be unfair to the guy sometimes but he's correct when he talks about Omega's very dramatic, breathy promos. They're cringe and his slow, breathy promo about dookie is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. Brock gets joked on for his voice not matching his body but that's really him so it still kinda works. Omega talks like Fandango. WWE would've needed to flat out say no to that and tweak that part of him.
And for Village, because I don't want to just quote everyone lol...HBK and Jericho were amazing on the mic. On a 1-10 scale, HBK is probably an 8, Jericho a 9.5. Omega is like a 2. But he's so talented that he still would've worked in WWE, esp. with all that black and gold NXT talent that are now legends in the business.
In my post, i acknowledged he wasn’t good on the mic. Neither was Jeff Hardy or AJ Styles. I’ll argue no further about it. I’m an Omega fan — I don’t have any delusions about his strengths and weaknesses, especially at this point in his career. I’m saying I’d like him to have a Wrestlemania moment, that’s all. That kind of thing matters to guys and Kenny never got his.
Go out of your way to watch Mark Davis vs. Speedball from Collision last night. Was better than Fletcher vs. Takeshita from Wednesday.
And those two guys were excellent on the mic.
