Its really hard to watch them interact, and think everything is good. And yes Clark plays a role in that as well. That hasn't changed since she played at Iowa, but Bluder found a way to unleash her, and White, (or the front office with their roster moves), doesn't seem interested in getting the best out of a player she herself calls "a generational player" at least publicly.
Bluder was ok with turnovers White is not.. It's an area that CC needs to grow. (Is that an over generalization? Maybe. )

I'd agree, but a large part of that is with Clark we basically led the nation in scoring most of the time at over 90 points/GM. Few teams had the firepower to keep up with CC22 and her band. The ones that did, or played stellar defense made it a dogfight but when you win 65+ games in two years its hard to argue. Plus the fast pace they played with helped build those crowds. In the W lots of teams can score , and even though White supposedly stresses defense , we aren't very good at it, especially when a team has a big post presence.

Paige has a much better assist to turnover ratio (3.0 vs 1.72) and she is shooting at a much higher percentage (51.8 vs 43.6). Paige also has a slight edge in rebounds.

Maybe check the stats before posting:
But that’s not better or equal stats across the board. And yes, Paige is a better shooter, but she’s not even close to the playmaker Clark is.

Very interesting stats on team assists -

In 2024 (regular season) 76% of the Lynx made shots were the result of assists. The Liberty were at 75% and the Fever 73%. These are great numbers.

So far this year, the Fever are near the bottom of the league with only 64% of field goals assisted. Not good.

The goal is not to get assists...the goal is to score efficiently. In which season was the offense more efficient?

She did as of the time I posted, but you know that…and Paige averages more minutes per game.

You are wrong, per usual. No Wings or Fever games have been played since you posted another one of your made up stats.

But you are right, Paige does play more MPG than CC does, and CC takes just as many FGs per game as Paige (17.4).

However, If you remove Caitlin entirely and give her minutes to Ty Harris, the assist per minute on the court difference between Ty and CC yieds a minus 3.7 assists per game. That changes the results to a mind numbing 54% of the Fever's points coming from assists. [The results are even worse if you give CC's minutes to Raven Johnson]

So the eyes do not deceive. Caitlin's assist numbers have not fallen much from 2024, it's the SW offense that is allergic to assists. It's IOS ball all the way. It's dribble, dribble shoot.

As an aside, Caitlin leads the league in assists per minute on the court with 1 every 3.78 minute. Alyssa is a 4.08, Jordan Canada 4.30, Chelsea Gray 4.56, Olivia Miles 5.3, and Paige 5.5. This is inspite of SW not allowing CC to either pick & roll with AB or run the court.
White plays a two person offense…the PG’s first job is to try and get it into the big (Boston), second option is SG (Mitchell). This is how most of the W wants to play. She wants a PG who passes side to side more than straight ahead without taking chances.

Then the WNBA stats weren’t updated because I went in and looked before I posted…Clark was fifth and Paige was sixth. And I agree Paige is a better shooter.
