Her whole career has been about shock value in terms of how she dresses. Unfortunately age hasn't made it look sexy for a long time.
France vs. Morocco has been entertaining with France dominating play, but Morocco playing strong defense for the most part, although their keeper, Bono, came up huge on the PK by Mbappe (poor shot) and made a fantastic save later. Morocco has had a few nice possessions in the French end, but hasn't quite made any good scoring chances yet. 0-0 at the half is a "victory" for Morocco, so far though. Hope the 2nd half opens up a bit, but unlikely without a goal. Heat/humidity is a factor.
Yeah, why would they want the greatest selling female artist of all time? C'mon, sporting events have old dudes as entertainment all the time - why is it any different for Madonna?

Maybe you haven't been paying attention. Her new album dropped on 7/3 and is likely to be #1 when first week sales are reported tomorrow and it's already getting Grammy buzz, supposedly being her best album in 20 years (first single is decent). As a general rule, though, I'm not particularly interested in "old" artists, as they rarely have anything that relevant to say and are usually not putting out much of high quality - my original point was that I didn't understand why people were saying she was too old, but many of those folks seem to love seeing old geezer male rockers.

As soon as Swift releases her next album, Madonna will once again no longer be the biggest selling female artist of all time. Regardless, you couldn’t pay me to sit there and watch Madonna during the halftime show. I’ll watch Shakira and then go take a dump.
BTW - i’ve loved most of her music, so don’t get me wrong, just doesn’t make sense to me. She’s old and probably has never watched a soccer game in her life (no idea, actually…..). Shakira, on the other hand, is young, hot will likely put on a better show and has been to about half a dozen matches so far during this World Cup.

I've heard Madonna's album prerelease. I'm in no way a fan, but this is the best album she's put out in a long time.

I wouldn't say it's too crazy. They normally get 2 and usually have 3 or even 4 as recent as 2018.
Generally speaking, I've liked Madonna's music a bit more than Shakira's and that's almost all I care about - sure Shakira is hotter than Madonna now, but when it comes to music, the music is 98% of what I care about.
France - Spain could be a classic in the semis. Buy Yamal getting player of the match is a stretch. He did make some great plays, but he also gave the ball away a lot and none of his shots required great saves. Should've been Rodrigo, IMO, who controlled so much of the play from the midfield.
