Since we literally hired the President from LSU, probably not a good idea to mock their commitment to academics.

LSU fans are def a little hee-haw. Ever heard "The Neck" song. At RU this would have been a scandal. Song is dirty if you're in the wrong place.

Under President Tate they actually doubled their research funding, so under him it was taken seriously. I’m not well knowledge to their history, so I’m not going to comment on their historical commitment to academics.

They have indeed made good strides. I let my disdain for that school, city and state skew my opinions.

Sticking with the Cardale Jones theory?

"We ain't come here to play School, classes are pointless"

LSUandA&MC (it's a mouthful) as a bastion of academics for its student athletes has likely left something to be desired for all of its intercollegiate athletics history. That shouldn't be a controversial comment or observation. But that isn't much different than many universities looking to get around the academic part in order to succeed in the athletic part.

Disdain for Baton Rouge and Louisiana? Have had positive experiences in LA for the most part...spending time at Fort Polk felt like the Second World though.

Spent a few weeks in Lafayette for work. Had a lot of fun. Also, I may have had a good time in Nawlins but can't remember enough of it to be sure
