He's fixated on that number because it's the amount of hours he spends snorting something.
With the mrna vaccine, it generally only happens with young males after their second dose, is mild and easily treated, not a reason to avoid it when the incidence of myocarditis from covid itself is much higher. Many people get a mild case of myocarditis after a cold. It is a freaking immune response.
Myocarditis is found to cause 30k deaths a year in the entire world out of 1.5 million reported cases a year.
It's borderline criminal. Like, manslaughter level criminal. This one hits me very closely. My Grandmother died from Pancreatic Cancer, and my High School Chorus teacher is currently suffering from Pancreatic Cancer.
We should be investigating all treatments that have shown to be effective against this awful form of cancer. Freaking MAGA has made science political and people are going to die who don't have to.
Does it matter if his agency is destroying our entire scientific community for the idiocy of a few? That overrides the benefits of healthy living and not having red Skittles. So honest question here. Is the vaccine issue really part of MAHA? I get that RFKjr is an antivaxer. But isn't MAHA about physical activity and nutrition? B/C honestly, I don't have a problem with the physical activity and eating less processed food push. It was a good idea when Michelle Obama pushed it and it's a good idea now.
This idiocy is embraced by far left and right but it’s the right that has enshrined it in our govt.Come on man. How about we just blame it on MAGA who has fully embraced this idiocy?
You do understand that the covid vaccine would do no more harm than the pertussis vaccine, right? And it could conceivably prevent them from infecting your MAGA grandma…you get that, right?Wtf are you tagging me here for? My kids are vaccinated against whooping cough. But no, we weren’t fvcking stupid enough to give Covid shots to our young healthy boys.

Lives angry. No, I blame it on anti vax propaganda that MAHA is now promoting, but you already knew that. Take your temu @scotchtiger ******** and shove it right in your *** there.
WisdomWtf are you tagging me here for? My kids are vaccinated against whooping cough. But no, we weren’t fvcking stupid enough to give Covid shots to our young healthy boys.
The great part is you had a choice to do that to yourself.Covid vaccines are safe and effective...I have 8 in me.
The great part is you had a choice to do that to yourself.
MAHA is a nice slogan. What they're actually doing though, through policy, is actively making Americans' health and the health systems worse. RFK is a menace. So honest question here. So because your child didn’t require hospitalization or develop MIS-C like many others did, the vaccine is worthless? You realize you could make that same argument about ANY vaccine? Lots of people survived smallpox. Lots and lots of people survived polio. Most - as many as 95% - showed no symptoms at all. You want to expose your kids to polio so they can develop some of that “effective natural immunity”? That is precisely how stupid that argument is. Of course, the difference is that natural immunity to polio is life-long because it’s a stable virus. The Covid your kids had “natural immunity” to no longer exists. My grandmas are dead and have been for 15+ years.
Nobody in my family is MAGA.
The current pertussis vaccine was introduced the 90s, not rushed out during a global pandemic. It’s also not an mRNA vaccine.
I didn’t personally have and witness my child have whooping cough. I did with Covid (pre-vaccine availability). We dispatched it easily. Why on earth would I want to adjust such an effective natural immune response?

FTR, and you don’t have to believe it but it’s true, the covid vaccine met Every. Single. Standard. that any other vaccine is required to meet. They overlapped trials because they had so many people volunteer to be part of their efforts.
It's interesting how you knew before the data was in that mRNA vaccines should be avoided if young with a low BMI, even though you're not a medical professional. mRNA vaccines had been studied since the 60s and before this administration came along, we knew we could trust a vaccine if it had fda approval, so there was no reason to mistrust this vaccine that would do you no harm at all.I feel like I’ve been transported back in time with this conversation. Goodness.
You want to expose your kids to polio so they can develop some of that “effective natural immunity”?
What a moronic comparison. There wasn’t a vaccine available when my son and I had Covid. There’s been a polio vaccine since the 1950s. I didn’t “want” to expose them to anything, but that’s the way it went. Ended up being a good real world test for how easily our immune systems dispatched the virus. Oh, and not to mention the exponentially higher risk of paralysis from polio compared to basic complications from Covid for healthy kids. Yea, totally the same thing.
I also didn’t say the vaccine was worthless. It had its place. Fats, olds and the immune compromised were good candidates for it. You know, the cohorts actually seeing complications from Covid.
But for healthy people under 40 (which we were at the time) with natural immunity, normal BMI and no immune issues? Yea, near zero risk. Kids were the same. It was a cold. In our case, less than a cold.
What we REALLY should have done was use the exponentially higher risk of complications due to obesity as a way to get people to lose weight. Maintaining a healthy weight is a far more effective way to combat Covid than vaccination. Yet we used scare tactics for the vaccine, but not obesity. Makes no sense.
A hilariously ironic and absurd situation is when a fat person argues with a healthy person about the Covid vaccine. Can you imagine? A person with a statistically far more significant self-inflicted risk factor arguing with someone who actually cares about their health and makes themself naturally more resistant to complications.
Question, what’s your BMI? You are passionate about the Covid vaccine. Are you equally passionate about other elements of your health that are even more important?

I've said this to you repeatedly and I know you will dispute it but because we see this hesitancy almost exclusively on one side of the political aisle only, it's clear that this is more than just fear of vaccines - it's an anti-government protest, plain and simple. Saying you're proud that you didn't take a safe vaccine is a terrible message to put out there, because you may not be so lucky with the next pandemic that comes along and people that listen to you could end up paying a heavy price.
After six years with no evidence of widespread harm, you should know better.
When the vax was approved in December 2020 there was no reason to mistrust it and since viruses can mutate and become stronger, it would have made more sense to hedge your bets instead of risking the consequences of not taking it because of a concern that it "might" be bad for you when we knew it wasn't.mRNA has nothing to do with the BMI thing. We knew in 2020 what the risk factors were for Covid. We knew that it disproportionately affected the obese and elderly. We knew that it had negligible effects on young, healthy adults and kids. These were very, very obvious facts at the time. It didn’t take any medical knowledge or foresight.
And I’ve never said not to get the vaccine. I’ve just defended my family’s choice and I have seen exactly zero evidence suggesting that we made the wrong decision specific to our family.
I also don’t make emotional decisions or let politics affect decisions like this. I’m not a true believer in a political party or movement like some of you. It doesn’t affect my daily life or my family.
Again, it was super, super obvious that we had near-zero risk, we already saw how efficiently our bodies dispatched the virus and there was absolutely no reason to do anything to alter our already effective immune response. Just a decision based on pure logic and reason. And the right one for our family.

It simply gave your immune system instructions on how to recognize the virus and was quickly dispatched by the body after a few days. Anywho, I don't want to re-hash the science again, I was mainly speaking to your past statements that you were "proud" that you and your family didn't take it when there was nothing to be proud of at all - it wouldn't have harmed you a bit so that's a message that should be kept to yourself.
Scotch just yesterday : "But no, we weren’t fvcking stupid enough to give Covid shots to our young healthy boys."
The great part is you had a choice to do that to yourself.
Oops, didn't catch that it was an older post but it's still relevant. The invader bumped a post from 2025, so it wasn’t yesterday.
Even assuming it’s 100% safe, what was the upside for our family given the circumstances? Near zero risk of complications. Already saw how it affected us. Young and healthy.
Near zero benefit. Why do it?
More importantly, why did we implement scare tactics for the vaccine but not obesity, when that’s a more significant risk factor?
That "transported" feeling? That's you retreating from what you stated.I feel like I’ve been transported back in time with this conversation. Goodness.

Over a quarter of a million children were hospitalized with covid. Nearly 10,000 developed MIS-C. Many of them were asymptomatic for the actual infection. There were cases where asymptomatic children passed covid to adults in their lives who were at risk. A smart parent would say, "Why take that risk when there's a vaccine that's safe and effective". An idiot would say, "We weren’t fvcking stupid enough to give Covid shots to our young healthy boys".I also didn’t say the vaccine was worthless. It had its place. Fats, olds and the immune compromised were good candidates for it. You know, the cohorts actually seeing complications from Covid.
LOL... rather than develop a vaccine? And the connection between obesity and covid dangers was constantly stressed. But so is the connection between obesity and heart disease. Obesity and strokes. Obesity and Type 2 diabetes. Obesity and cancer. Obesity and liver disease. Obesity and kidney failure. And you think tossing covid onto that pile would make a difference? But for healthy people under 40 (which we were at the time) with natural immunity, normal BMI and no immune issues? Yea, near zero risk. Kids were the same. It was a cold. In our case, less than a cold.

Ironic and absurd would be the parents in TX vowing they would never allow their children to get a measles vaccine... and this was after one of their children died of measles. But hey... it's only a one in a thousand chance so why not just take the risk, amirite?A hilariously ironic and absurd situation is when a fat person argues with a healthy person about the Covid vaccine. That's not any kind of thoughtful weighing of the risks that you now claim. In case you missed it, "science" by personal anecdote is stupid. You performed no "real world test". You were infected and you were lucky. Period. That there were a lot of empty chambers in the gun doesn't mean you didn't dodge the bullet that was in there. Somewhere between 15 and 20 million are currently suffering from long covid and some of them have been bedridden for years.
As I said, as many as 90% of those infected with polio never showed any symptoms. Yet, parents lined up for blocks to get their children vaccinated. They were smart enough to understand that while the risk to their child might be small, it wasn't zero and their children could be carriers so they wanted to protect others. You know... smart.

Hell, I had measles before the vaccine was available and I survived. Why give ANY child the jab?
I'm in excellent health for someone aged 68 with great blood work, a bmi in the low 20's, and a spotless colon... thanks for your concern. How's your mental health? You didn’t answer my question.
He lives in MT. PLEASANT south carolina and OWNS A BOAT and his friends are all doing GREAT and they all LOVE FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY and don't talk about POLITICS because they all operate and think THE SAME because they all moved to a historically Black community after it was already gentrified and the Black community was pushed out decades before they got there AND EVERYTHING IS AWESOME because he's white and makes ALOT OF MONEY in a RICH SUBURB IN THE SOUTH on the coast.I'm in excellent health for someone aged 68 with great blood work, a bmi in the low 20's, and a spotless colon... thanks for your concern. addendum: I do have arthritis in my knees, my left thumb and my right shoulder that are somewhat limiting, so there's that.
