Wow, that's a shock. I knew she was dealing with serious medical issues for the last couple of months, but thought she was recovering from them. RIP.

R.I.P. I didn't know she was from outside the U.S. I used google to find out who was the uncredited male singer on Total Eclipse Of The Heart.

Good theme song for DBs

Never liked raspy singers (she reminded me Melissa Etheridge who I don't like either). I read she had surgery and wasn't supposed to talk for awhile but something made her scream and her voice got damaged

There is a great version of Eclipse sung by Rob Halford (Judas Priest) and Doro.

Bonnie Tyler had a handfull of of great songs. RIP.

Linda Ronstadt is considered by many the "First Lady of Rock" and probably should be considered that

Janis is considered " "The Queen of Psychedelic Soul"

Etta might have set the pace in the 1950s, so she is a great choice.
But being considered the "Matriarch of Rock and Roll," is a great tribute

Bonnie Raitt is frequently referred to as the "Mistress of the Blues "

My choice is Tina Turner , but being the Queen of Rock & Roll suits her just fine

Bonnie Tyler( being Welsh) was considered "Britain's First Lady if Rock" so thus the compliment

But you're right to point out the others , because I didn't qualify it was Britain's First Lady of Rock
making it look like she was considered better then those you mentioned and the two great ones I added.

Just wanted to add this to the thread because I am surprised no one else did.

This was a minor hit for Tyler. Desmond Child, the song's writer, reworked the tune with Jon Bon Jovi and it became Bon Jovi's first No. 1 hit... You Give Love a Bad Name.
