Judge determined he was a flight risk and set bail at $200,000…10% cash…
He was remanded back to jail.
I’ll believe it when Clorby sees it.
I’m guessing the recent charges of refusing to pull over, ditching the car, and fleeing police on foot didn’t help his bail hearing either.
Just sitting here this morning…honestly?…I could see a taser in his future. But I’ve only had one coffee at this point.
Hopefully in the middle of a 600 pound vanity 1/4 squat.
This "kid" is 25. By the age of 25, I had already graduated from Penn State and done a three year tour in the U.S. Army.

Correction.. the young man. Realistically... Yes, he clearly needs to grow up but these NIL deals fund irresponsibility or pave a pathway in this life. unfortunately... for AJ is seems to be funding irresponsibility and delaying the growing up part!
Let's not invent excuses for him. He was irresponsible long before NIL.

AJ crashed a car and nearly burned himself and multiple other people to death before NIL was a thing.
His parents play a large roll in this.
An athlete whose parents have some money to buy his way out of trouble. He is what he is (a narcissistic penalhead), there is no empathy there whatsoever and he would have been a narcissistic penalhead whether his parents tried to correct him or not.
This was not an excuse for him! this is just acknowledging that meaningful consequences produce change

I wouldn't go that far. None of us know if proper correction would have led to better decision making.
But its clear the system/real life is going to have to give him the consequences his parents absolutely refused to give.

I have said in other posts in this thread I believe the man suffers from malignant narcissism which would mean he has strong me, me, me needs but he has strong anti social personality traits. The man has zero empathy and any corrective actions taken by his parents would have little to no impact. Everything he does is for self gratification, any consequences are strictly because others misunderstand. Coming out of his mother's womb he was a peckerwood and no corrective actions by his parents were going to fix what he is.
He is definitely the living embodiment of Cluster B.
Judging from his uncle and his dad, he was at a genetic disadvantage when it comes to personality from the time dear old dad's testosterone was helping create the swimmer that made him.
Rob Koll and Tom Brands probably received "I told you so, aren't you glad I save you from yourself" text messages after his arrest.
I looked up ‘peckerwood’ in the sociological terms list and couldn’t find it
Was watching NCAA's in Philly, was pretty close to the mat. Angelo and dad found 2 empty seats right behind me to watch AJ wrestle Buchanan, Dad was doing most of the (coaching) yelling, but I wondered shouldn't Angelo be at least neutral for his teammate?
After Buchanan beat AJ 3-0 his dad was pissed and headed back up the steps whereupon he got in an altercation with a couple of fans. It only lasted a few minutes, everyone was watching and saying, it's just the Ferraris.
I like to poke fun at this jacka$$ as much as the next guy. He’s been a cartoon character his entire career.
But on a serious note this should be a reality check for the wrestling community. And as an aside, I’m going to leave @Corby2 out of this criticism because he has a personal relationship with the family, I think, and that obviously affects your public comments on anything AJ. Understandable IMO.
But the infantilization of him by the various media outlets, trivializing consistently anti-social behavior has been disgraceful. The attitude that many carried, that we “need” characters to raise the profile of the sport is disgusting. The fact that we have a bunch of fans at nationals, including children, cheering for him to put on a narcissistic display- friggin’ parenting at its worst. The cast of characters at FLO should take a long hard look at themselves and decide whether they want to keep selling their soul like this.
I don’t want to hear it about not knowing that this was coming. Has had a kidnapping charge dismissed. There’s still video in the internet of his phone call with a girl he sent an unsolicited d!c pick to, berating her and calling her a c@m sucking wh@re. Now this. Can anyone say with a straight face that he’s not doing some lasting damage to some women? And this is on top of his numerous other transgressions.
I always viewed wrestling as the most honorable competitive sport at the highest levels. Sure, plenty of low class participants at the entry levels, but the crucible of the sport forged some very remarkable and impressive people character wise. The sport builds character and the longer you’re involved the better. But it seems lately that the people that promote the sport would rather wallow in the mud.
This mirrors society as a whole where entertainment value far outweighs honesty, integrity, and character to the masses. But why do we need to play to the masses? I, and many others, are perfectly happy with wrestling as a niche sport.

Not 100% sure. But this version makes me laugh.....a lot......so I am choosing to believe it for my own personal enjoyment. To me...it is so bizarre....it needs to be true
