Lol. Not a chance even though a bunch of bs fairy tales UK fans dream up. We need a major change maybe it will be sean miller. He is getting the players. He may flourish in this new age. I’m sure Texas was all over it.. probably came up with the idea for him to reclassify while Pope is watching obscure international players. Everyone everyone was so pumped because of the connections of our lone recruit .

I'mma tell you straight out you've turned into the biggest ***** on here. You ***** off everything that doesn't go your way.. you seriously turned into a worthless piece of **** and all you do is clutter these threads with your large fonts in your whining. From a really good poster, to becoming the most pathetic SOB on here. If they want to ban me for saying that fine.
Even if you feel like he’s negative, can you dispute what he said? Through 3 off seasons and 2 seasons, SoS is correct.

Pope was in Texas to watch the TABC showcase on June 30th, which Spears played in, then went to Istanbul for the World Cup, which had the USA team playing as well, then went to Vegas with the current team?

Effort is not the issue.

You could have simply said you disagreed with my point and given me reasons for why you expect Pope to sign top 5 players.
I have tried before, but it's not just this post. You put down everything he does.. you say top five he just signed the sixth ranked player and that ranking he had when Pope signed him. I'm telling you so you act like a scrambled girlfriend when it comes to Pope.. every time a player chooses somewhere else it's his fault???? there were many reasons for this guy to reclassify and go to Texas. I know I was hard and hard on you man but damn you're just going over the top constantly on your negativity.

It's always been a personality thing. It's okay to admit it. I hope he succeeds, but if he were a stock, few of us would invest.

There's truth to both sides of this. Calipari's recruiting spoiled us into thinking all kids wanted to come to UK as long as we had a decent coach. That's simply not the case.

Some of it is Popes fault, he can be a bit corny and I don't think I would have connected with him as as 17 year old kid.
Some of it is geography (Kentucky isnt for everyone, especially young soon to be millionaires)
I still the the biggest factor is just that we dont have a legendary recruiter anymore.

What I am saying yes he did get the sixth ranked recruit after getting the best portal player. But players go to other programs and right now there's a few people on here that every time a player chooses another program. It's Pope's fault. And how the hell do you count his first so-called off-season one part of the off-season was bringing him here. It's too off-season and this one is still going on. The bottom line is the season is gotta be played. We have our team and we need to see how this season turns out. This guy reclassified to go to the college that he's wanted to go. You really think he was gonna go to his school to be the 15th spot because that's the way kids look at it.

Hmmm....sounds like an interesting outlook.

I wonder how areas like Durham, Lawrence, and Fayetteville are landing the likes of Flagg, Boozer, Smith Jr., Stokes, Peterson, Muurinen, etc.

It's weird how Lexington only sucks as a location for the kids we keep losing out for, but these other so-so towns keep landing elite players, eh?

Well Fayeteville has that legendary recruiter i was talking about. Which i already addressed if you quoted my whole post.

Durham/Chappel Hill is a way better night life and location than Lexington. Have you actually been there?

KU has a better coach.

I also said Pope was a problem, so what exactly is your point?

Buddy is acting like we’re losing players to Love Island University.

You actually suck as a fan. You really do. You’re by far my least favorite poster, and that says a lot. All you do is complain.

The "why we can't land elite recruits" excuse starter pack:

1. Lexington sucks as a location (but Durham, Fayetteville, Ann Arbor, Storrs, Gainesville, and Lawrence are totally awesome locations).
2. UK can't compete in NIL with its small market and because we're a "poor state" (and yet the state of Oklahoma with a near identical average household income and population can have an NBA team).
3. No one needs elite high school players anyway.
4. The parity now keeps UK from dominating like it once did (Duke, UConn, Kansas, and UNC have a combined 7 Final Fours since 2022).

I know when I blow the excuses you guys make sky high, all you have to fall back on is ad hominem attacks.

The reality is that we have a mid coach leading an elite program. You guys keep making stupid excuses, and you don't like it when people assault the absurd deflections/excuses.

I know you're okay with UK finishing 3-6 in the SEC, but I'm not.
