I thought she actually looked good in the way she moved. Just had an off night shooting, and then she would get pulled after 3 minutes, so there was not time to settle in and get the mojo going.
I thought she was playing more upright than usual and not getting into her normal stance….. I agree she definitely didn’t play enough to get in a groove at all

Something was off with her….it was a weird game

She said after the game that it wasn’t her idea to have limited minutes and she couldn’t get into a rhythm. Obviously she was not happy with the decision so her heart wasn’t in it. She said physically she felt great, so she was pretty much saying either play her or don’t. Obviously the whole limited minutes thing was a way to justify not playing her against the Mercury and I’m guessing she wanted to play tonight.

Her effort last night was not good. It just wasn't. Her body language is terrible. Now, I don't know how much that has to do with the injury, just everything going on in general, her relationship with White, which no matter how they try to show it's fine, ( it's clearly not) or what. I looked up the box score in the 2nd qtr and saw they were down and she was 2-6 with 3 turnovers and had played about half the game. Turned it on to see her miss a 3 and then not get back on D, sitting by herself on the bench, have White call her to come back into the game with a minute and a half to go in the 3rd qtr and then call her back to the bench. It's a total shitshow on all sides here. Nobody looks happy out there. She's getting zero support from the organization publicly, but of course they make her come out and in support of Thomas. I'm pretty much done watching at this point.
Its really hard to watch them interact, and think everything is good. And yes Clark plays a role in that as well. That hasn't changed since she played at Iowa, but Bluder found a way to unleash her, and White, (or the front office with their roster moves), doesn't seem interested in getting the best out of a player she herself calls "a generational player" at least publicly.

might go back to watch if she was interviewed

It's sad what has happened, halfway through her third season. She was, and therefore the Fever were, appointment television for us in season 1. Literally planned days around when she would play. We were at level 100 of 100 in terms of interest. The offseason between seasons 1 and 2 only had us more excited: new coach, new management, supposedly better players. Still level 100 interest level. Then season 2 started happening, but we were still very interested. Watched all games she played in, and most she did not. But it was disappointing. Interest level was about 95 heading into the offseason. Then the draft and free agency happened. Then the season started. It has become clear to me that 90% of the W hates Caitlin, always will, do not want to play with her, and enjoy targeting her. The refs are as inconsistent as ever, which really kills the product in my view. This is really looking like a square peg round hole situation with Caitlin and White and perhaps the W overall, and the team just isn't very good in terms of depth. They don't play defense and Caitlin looks joyless, at the moment. I would have thought it unthinkable that they trade her, or that she might leave for Europe, but I don't know now. All I know is that watched the first half, and then a few minutes of the second half before I turned it off and went to sleep. My interest level is now about a 10 out of 100, until something changes. 0% chance I am watching tonight since they preemptively ruled her out. Maybe she needs to go to someplace like LA where is not in such a fish bowl, and get a fresh start...
100% agree. The fun is gone for her and for those of us that follow her until something is rectified. You have to wonder how this is going with Fever fans in Indy. Few people are buying season tickets to see this team play if CC22 isn't playing or is a shadow of herself. Season tickets pre her arrival make that clear, and will probably be even less with the fans distaste for how this has been handled.

This. She's NEVER been a few minutes in and then sit for 5 minutes player. You can tell her level of disinterest when she's sitting on the sideline.

I thought the announcers said that she said that at the beginning of the broadcast. She was on a pitch count and wanted more pitches, but was overruled. So we watched that stupidity. Either play her or don't play her. If you want to have her on a pitch count, play her the first quarter, and sit her in the second, and then see how she feels in the second half and go from there.

Is Clark's WNBA career over? Chronic injury and an outside shot that disappeared? Thanks the "W". Back to empty arenas.
Depends on a lot of things. She's had games where she got hot QUICK. Its as much mental as physical I think. The way White pulls her sometimes for 4 or 5 minutes at a time is part of it. This may be her lot as long as she and White are both with the Fever. Unfortuantely this crappy front office came in all together and Whites their girl so she probably isn't going anywhere, unless ownership runs the whole group like 2 years ago. If this continues the most likely scenario, is probably a parting of ways with Clark going elsewhere. I know people are going to throw out the "the Fever will never part with their money maker" but this clearly isn't working, and the fans aren't going to continue to buy into this at some point.

I didn't watch the game last night, but it looks like our defense is back to normal ? Lol
Without Boston and a semi healthy Clark who doesn’t want to be out there it’s a very bad team. Also goes to show the value of Boston for those doubting how good she is.

Yeah the Fever have issues but too much gnashing of teeth over a team 3.5 games out of 1st place with less than half the season played so far. Plenty of time to get things straightened out and make a run when the playoffs start in late September.
