?? I think McConnell was a pathetic human being even when he was in the best of health, but I am certainly not celebrating his death. Rather, I am mocking McConnell's wife, family, staff, and fellow Republicans for stashing him away, incommunicado, solely for the purpose of trying to prevent a special election in which Thomas Massie could split the Repugnicant vote and screw things up for the Repugnicant Party. McConnell has been an ******* for his entire life, but I want to believe that not even HE would countenance this kind of diabolical and amoral strategy.
That hypothesis is beyond a stretch. First, she is his wife and he is at death's door. Her place is at his side, not sitting around in Beijing. That would be the case whether or not she had a China trip already scheduled.
Second, she owes the American public (most especially Kentuckians) an explanation. If she did not leave the country for the purpose of prolonging Ol' Turtlehead's vegetative existence for strictly political purposes, then she ought to say so. Tell us why you split for China, Elaine.
Somehow the whole Platner situation got resolved faster than being able to see one single statement by Mitch that he is even alive.

Please explain how it can be that Elaine Chao sitting in a chair next to Mitch’s hospital bed would be powerless to stop doctors from disconnecting his life support while Elaine Chao hobnobbing with Chinese dignitaries in Beijing can keep Mitch’s lifeless body artificially alive as long as it takes to thwart Governor Beshear’s efforts to call a special election.

Mitch has yet to reply to his own Governor's plea to know it he's even alive. He's "dead." And the Republicans are trying to cover it all up to save his seat.
How many days does his office have to reply to Beshear’s letter? I have to imagine this charade is going to be over soon—show proof of life or announce his passing/vegetative state.
It's been pointed out, but the Republican Senators didn't say they talked to him. They specifically said they spoke to him. Talked implies a two way conversation. Spoke can be two way. It can also be one way like I spoke at a conference or I spoke to the ghosts in my house telling them to leave.
So technically the Senators could have had someone put Mitch's phone up to his ear, spoken about whatever they wanted, and all the while he was a vegetable and braindead and those Senators wouldn't have been lying about having spoken to him.
Platner’s sexting was made public on May 30 and the rape allegations began shortly after. Mitch’s medical emergency occurred on June 14. So it’s going to be a couple weeks before you can accurately make this claim.
So your claim is that Mitch being in a coma for weeks, after needing CPR when found unconscious, hasn't quite met the standard of a legitimate crisis?

You claimed the Platner issue was resolved in less time than it has taken to get proof that Mitch is alive and well. That is incorrect as of now. It took Platner’s latest controversy 39 days to derail his campaign. We’re currently 25 days into the Mitch saga.
If we haven’t achieved clarity on Mitch’s condition in the next two weeks then your claim will become accurate. Until then it is not. Anyone with at least a third grade education should be capable of understanding that concept.
So your new claim is that Mitch has been in perfect health up until now and definitely was not recorded falling down in a hallway well over a year ago after being asked questions by reporters, when it's not even clear he understood who they were, and that Mitch definitely did not respond to these questions by making weird alien sounds?

Why would it be necessary to get proof “that he is even alive” prior to June 11, when he was clearly working and voting on Capitol Hill?

My bad. In hindsight, the NY Times report on June 4 didn’t explicitly mention rape. It only mentioned that three of his ex-girlfriends detailed violent, drunken behavior. But we’re all cool here with alcoholism and domestic abuse. So no harm, no foul.

I'm only speaking to the rape allegation but I did hear of one stating that he grabbed her arm hard and while not excusing that, if that was the only thing describing his behavior, I doubt anyone would pass the test for being a political candidate. It began to feel like piling on and that's why the voters in Maine became skeptical. That's all I wanted to add so carry on.

K, we know of other candidates with this type of known history and it didn't bother their voters a bit, at least the national Dems were openly conflicted about his candidacy before the rape allegations came out. But again, I'm only referring to your allegations about rape, not the other allegations you threw in later to bolster your claim.
