Not often you get three ex-Hawks together on the same team.
Payton was a great Hawkeye and will make some money professionally.
He had some limitations, but gave everything he had every game. You have to admire that. Unfortunately, we can't say the same about some other guys.
OKC down big at the half. So far PS has 0 points on 0-8 shooting. He does have 4 rebs and 2 asts. He's been all over the floor trying to make a bucket. I thought I heard him scream at a Jazz player to foul him for maybe an opportunity at the line lol. J/K about the last one. He's the only starter with no points. Dix has 6 points on 2 3's. Bennett out.
Not good, as OKC get waxed 103-69 by the Jazz. Dix had 16 Points. Sandy had a goose egg o points.
OKC went down to the Lakers. Lakers top 5 scorers all had G League time and some professional experience. Bennett came on strong in the end and got it under double digits with a deeeeeeep 3. Finished with 18/2 ast. Would of had more, but blown shots took care of that.
BTW: I really enjoyed Brooks Barnheizer play. He finished with 12/10/ and 2 ast for OKC. I know he's played in the G League before, but he looked good out there.
Then we have Mara. 2/7 and 2 ast. Pitiful effort. Actually, there was none. Lazy on defense, can't understand how to guard the pick and roll, misses easy shots around the basket. WTF. He was drafted #12. Take dude to the woodshed for this one. If this crap keeps up, park his lazy keister in the G.

Barnheizer also played in 40 NBA games last season for the Thunder. Before that he was a good player for Northwestern.
Collins is putting out some decent players these days.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like Mara was lazy last night. I had my back to the TV one time, and one of the commentors said "Come on Mara, you're 7'3" you can't just stand there".
I wanted Mara to fall to bulls..,maybe he was covered by Michigan's loaded roster?
Meanwhile Bulls Caleb wilson knocking down 7 of 11 three pointers...it was supposed to be his only flaw? Nice
Who knows? Maybe Mara can play decently next game which is tomorrow at 5 PM on Prime. It was strange seeing a guy that big standing under the basket and taking an uncontested shot that barely drew iron.
zero turnovers, that's good to see. Teams have really been putting a lot of ball pressure on him.
