Hopefully, we'll stay with on3 for a while, so there'll be some history to point out later. The next POTUS is going to undo a LOT of what Trump has done. And the MAGAs on here will be pissing their panties about POTUS overreach. The crappy part is that they will be right. But at least we can point out this sort of thing.
I don't really have a problem with updating/changing the Whitehouse. BUT the house doesn't belong to the POTUS. There needs to be some oversite there.

It all makes a lot of sense when you realize Trump is just the reincarnation of some Ottoman emperor.

JD and Usha are going to be busy in the next few years. Hopefully they just rip out the tackiest of the garbage, and in 2029 the next elected POTUS starts fresh.

Trump has an inferiority complex that results in stuff like this.

No one in his family is brave enough to confront him on these types of things.
At his heart he's always been the slob from Queens trying to impress the actually rich people. His taste is more in tune with what you'd see a goomar on the Sopranos decorate her house with.

I'm not a huge architecture guy, but I'm pretty sure this is pretty fvcked up for him to do and probably upsets people who spend their lives pouring over art history and the such.
Folks like you would have never made it through Teddy and Franklin Roosevelt with all of their additions to the WH. They literally created both the East and West wings of the WH. Lmao. Keep crying!

You think so? I'm pretty confident that by the time Trump is done with him, you guys won't even want him. I mean think about it, if these Iran negotiations go South and there's no inspectors for instance, you think Trump's going to take the blame for that? That's going to be ALL on Vance, and you'll be right there chanting about hanging him. That's a high risk job for anyone, just ask Pence.

He's a tenant in a home we own. If I have a hired man on the farm and give him a place to live as part of his salary that doesn't equate to him having the authority to make changes to my property without my approval.
You're just but one of an ignorant fools regarding the history of the WH. Try harder. Cry harder.

I take it your house has a similar decor to the Oval Office?
I take it, as you have proven, you don't have a fking clue regarding history.

Folks like you railed Teddy and Franklin back in the day. Stop showing how absolutely clueless you are.

Tell me. What did you say to Teddy and Franklin? I'll be waiting...
Sure man:

Theodore Roosevelt (1902): Hired architects McKim, Mead and White to build the temporary Executive Office Building (the original West Wing) and redesign the main interior rooms. He received congressional appropriations and authorization for this major classical overhaul.

Harry S. Truman (1948–1952): Completely gutted the interior of the White House down to the exterior walls due to structural collapse risks. Congress officially authorized and heavily funded this total reconstruction.

However, you are correct about FDR:

Franklin D. Roosevelt did renovate and expand the White House, notably remodeling the West Wing in 1934 and constructing the East Wing in 1942. He did not receive prior formal congressional approval for the 1942 East Wing project, funding it instead through emergency wartime budgets, which sparked significant political controversy.
