my old pool needs work as the grands want to Fall and winter fish and the Algae there is bad
neglect on my part. Just so dpic73 knows farm boy knowledge you can put fresh water in a stagnant closed loop chicken or cow water trough and in three days it starts turning green unless you treat it
that reflection pool is very sensitive to the algae problems due to bringing water from the Potomac River which has high phosphates due to human untreated waste and industrial waste

suggest using Crystal Plex a safe biological that treats 1 acre per liquid gallon
then use a scum cleaner for the dead algae debris that sinks to bottom
then I use a bluing agent that turns the water a light blue
as far as fish I have purchased and inserted sterile grass carp to eat as much grass and vegetation as possible
alligators beavers large water moccasins and other problem water animals meet with Winchester my butler
if you need additional instruction or help I can fill you in
The reflection pool is a challenge as people piss and crap spit and everything else in it as organics raise the phosphate levels to cause growth and bloom
think of the pool as a giant open septic if it does not get lots of flowing fresh water or if it is not treated

If there ever was a question about the amount of research that goes into members of a political party endorsing one of their own, this should answer it. Just a couple of weeks ago Platner was the "answer" in Maine...look at all those who quickly endorsed him...now the same people can't jump off the bandwagon fast enough. So what's the criteria for endorsement - he's a member of my party...
