Even if you want to think in extremely simple terms which is probably extremely beneficial for you... A silverback gorilla is 10-20x stronger than most humans. They have become this over many many generations on solely a vegan diet. Carry on with your soreness and broken down pity party. 🤣🤣🤣

thankfully sprinters eat meat because cheetahs over many many generations have become fast by catching other animals and eating them

Its true. If you want to be sore constantly, age horribly, have high blood pressure, be at risk of heart attack and stroke, tire down easily… keep ingesting animal products. It’s like putting gum into your insides.

When you see people hunched over and winded, sore, etc… it’s because of awful blood flow, inflammation, etc… a DIRECT result of animal products.

Don’t ask the doctor, they don’t have any more nutritional training than your local garbage collector.

All protein comes from plants in its purest state. Animal protein is more dense but extremely inferior, recycled and absolute horrible at building muscle/strength. It also contains so many horrible components it will make your head spin.

It’s why all yall are tired, broken down and sore. I guarantee most of yall have all kinds of other problems too but many won’t admit it.

I know my strength. I hit max this morning actually. Feeling better and more strong as I age.

How does that help a human now? Humans and gorillas are the way they are based on eons of adaptations to their environments.

You would be mind blown at how much difference you feel and experience. How much weight you can move around in the gym and how quickly you recover and endurance you’ll see skyrocket in a few weeks time. Thats tangible.

Blood flow is so crucial when it comes to things like this. Picture your insides like a garden hose, animal products is like putting clay into it and your body struggles getting rid of it. Animal products are why people have heart attacks and strokes, need viagra, feel like they need coffee every day… I could talk days about this. I could literally list dozens of tangible effects.

However, back to the subject… if you derive your protein from recycled protein laced with so many harmful compounds ie animal products… you WILL experience all kinds of problems and will age horribly. We even see that in this thread on a small portion of what people actually admit. 95% of the population doesn’t know any better NOR do they even understand what normal feels like.

If you feel like America is in fantastic shape with little to no health problems… carry right along and keep your head in the sand. Makes little to no difference to me. Also makes me look great in the gym.

Eat life or eat death, feel accordingly. It’s so simple, most people are just too stupid to realize it.

I don't doubt there are benefits for us to eat cleaner - which includes increasing plant % consumption. I just wanted to know what gorillas had to do with it. Our digestive systems aren't similar and we digest plants very differently. That won't change simply by eating nothing but plants.

You have no clue. I workout on 300 lbs on bench press and still ascending. How about yourself?
You should have just quit after your first post. The "50,000-60,000 lbs. a day" quote actually gave me a chuckle.

But I'm starting to think that might have just been a typo and you're just dumb.

I’ll admit. I honestly REALLY enjoy a nice steak. Guilty pleasure. I do understand what eating too much like this will do to your body. It’s NOT good.

You’re absolutely right, there are MANY ways we can eat better as a society. I’ve known people who venture into “plant eating” and they load up on faux sausage and vegan pancakes every morning. To no surprise they don’t feel much better at all.

Tons of misinformation out there that’s for sure. Good luck!

I was hitting 300 when I was 15 and a skinny 165lbs. I've done 315 for 20 reps with my feet on the bench multiple times for ***** and giggles over the last 25 years. I'm 55 now. How old are you? Height/weight? Bench, deadlift, squat numbers? Impress me soy boy.

That’s really good. I think it’s fair to say we are on different trajectories. I didn’t think I was at the time but I was incredibly weak most of my life. I’m in the neighborhood of LeBron James age wise and I’m nowhere near as big as him.

I do SOME cardio every day but nothing rigorous. I do a lot of anterior and posterior stretching for leg workouts. Upper body I feel like a machine. It’s happened really quickly too. I’ve blown past big former marines, big country dudes much bigger than myself… we all enjoy it.

It really is an exciting time to be alive. So many good options to maximize health and key in on specific dietary strategies. I’ve never taken supplements or any performance enhancers or anything like that.

Pure plant protein is next level. We can disagree all you’d like, but I know I’m not the one here complaining about being broken down and failing. I’ve never felt better… I feel better than I did as a teenager and never stronger. Take from that whatever you’d like.

I don’t care about any of that nor do I worry about it. Facts are facts and they don’t change. People can either accept them or be in denial and suffer the consequences, it’s ultimately their decision.

Lifted when I was in my early 30’s had to stop as my kids were into sports and I ended up coaching them. Finally got back into weight lifting when I was 62, my fat *** went up 240lbs, thighs were sore, right then I decided to get back in the gym. Started my 17 year this past December (yes I’m an old bstrd), 2 hours a day 4 days a week. I only use a belt on back day. Push as much weight as possible, weight is at 208 on a 6’2 frame. I recommend it for physical and mental health, plus it’s 8 hours a week I don’t have to listen to my wife 👏👏

Vegan, soccer guy that’s hates baseball and think he’s smarter than everyone. I really don’t know why keep on interacting with this guy.

To answer your original question I don’t do straps or gloves of any kind but I also don’t go super heavy on anything that could hurt my back like deadlifts. Typically for legs it’s walking lunges with 40’s in each hand and squats with 50’s on each shoulder. I go heavy (probably very heavy for a 48 year old) on upper body but no need for assistance there. Haven’t “maxed” bench in years so I can’t join the whoop off session. Typically do 3 sets of 225 x 8 but admittedly somedays that looks more like 7 5 5. Must not have eaten enough plants that day.

I’m a 6’1” 210 lb 48 year old whole milk and hamburger type guy that doesn’t get sore or doubled over like Eddie Haskell thinks.

Keep pushing brother. Do not go quietly.
