The red card was bunk. However, Balogun should do the honorable thing and sit out this game. It’s also the smart move, as you don’t want to be indebted to this mobster.

Exactly. Everyone knows the foul did not rise to a red card and this is the fallout from an incompetent ref exercising incredibly bad judgment. So they’re suspending the one match ban on an egregious red card. Doubtful.
Oh please. The red card was bunk. However, Balogun should do the honorable thing and sit out this game. It’s also the smart move, as you don’t want to be indebted to this mobster.
That's not at all what happenedExactly. Everyone knows the foul did not rise to a red card and this is the fallout from an incompetent ref exercising incredibly bad judgment.
FIFA has zero shame. Hell they invented a "peace" prize just for this World Cup.....everyone around the planet understands how corrupt FIFA is....they like the US just do it in your face now. To be fair FIFA is a master at corruption and has a pretty long history of it.Not weird at all; they've been preparing for days not expecting to face Balogun; now, they only have a day to change course (it would have been another matter if FIFA had made their decision of a "suspension" within 24th hrs of the game ending).
What makes this galling is that it appears FIFA probably wouldn't have made this (late) decision but for a call from the WH.
This not only taints whatever the team does going forward in the world's eyes, but sets a bad precedent for red cards to be suspended, particularly if requested by the holder of the highest office of a host country.
In Denver?Maybe I'm losing my mind but I could have sworn the game tonight was supposed to be at 6p not 8p
Haha.In Denver?
I’m curious to see if England challenges the one-game suspension mandated by the red card last night. We shall see. #FIFAcorrupt. It would have been a simple matter to downgrade the red to a yellow but, no, FIFA had to do it in a way that prolongs the debate. Idiots. Going forward, suppose someone gets a red in a match their team wins. What then? Beyond stupid.

Edit I’m surely not the first to ask, I did not check. Apologies.

How’s mass treating 2?Haha.
#2 just left to drive up to Seattle with friends. They don't have tickets, but pretty sure they are going to the watch party near the stadium.
Loves it. Goes to Boston a lot. Unfortunately, becoming a bit of a Celtics fan, but I told her no Bruins and no Red Sox. I don't have to worry about the Patriots. She's Birds all the way. How’s mass treating 2?
Not sure if real but think it is since it’s all over social media….

Sorry - this says France wants one of their yellow cards overturned.
His statement is wrong--or I no longer know French lol
I thought this was an English speaking board. I must have been mistaken. This is just gibberish to me.
