Now saying 104 in Howell.
We had to force our reluctant Great Pyrenees inside. Have now upgraded operation "stay alive" to fans on in all barns/coops and buckets of ice in waters. The real danger is if they can't cool down tonight, with temps like this again tomorrow.
If anyone wants to know, Shoprite has watermelons on sale for $3.99 each. Just picked up 6 more for tomorrow. I was going to barbeque tonight, but that's out as I'm shot and have no appetite.

For Philadelphia, AC Airport, Allentown, & Trenton, these were the hottest temperatures observed since 2011. The hottest since 2010 for Wilmington and since 2012 for Reading.
Similarly very hot and humid conditions are expected again today, with triple digit highs and heat indices 105-115° for most. This will likely be the hottest day south of I-78, and the first time much of our region has experienced back-to-back triple digit temps in 15 years. A few isolated severe storms possible this afternoon/evening, but most remain dry.There will be a very slight improvement in conditions for Independence Day, but dangerous heat will continue with highs in the mid 90s to near 100° and heat indices 100-110°. It was 93 at 11PM in Bergen last night, and only dropped to 85 overnight. It's going to b nasty.
This was posted at approx 9:30 AM on Friday, so how could what you wrote be accurate?
Rode 16 miles, got back around 11 a.m. Not bad in the wood. Also spent time clearing some trees in the trails. A lot of calories burned.

We are 3 miles inland from Manasquan.. Woods were not bad. Short ride on road in sun was hot

Biking out west may be way better, but I do miss that EC hardwoods shade!
Waist-high scrub and trees every 200 feet don't cast much shade coverage.
Had to go out to jump our Lexus in order to put a flagpole stand under it. Was out there for a short period of time moving cars around, then back out to move the Lexus and put the cars back. Was absolutely soaked in just that short time. This weather is gross.

My AC can't seem to keep up with this heat. It's been running constantly. I noticed my duct work dripping in my basement. Probably because I had the windows open down there. Hopefully shutting them fixes it along with the dehumidifier going.
Worked outside at summer camp this week. Thursday was probably the worst day I've ever experienced there when it comes to the weather. Shockingly, nobody passed out and we had no signs of heat exhaustion among the staff or kids. We drilled those kids to drink water and stay in the shade all day and it seems to have worked. Didn't hurt to have the Kona ice truck come in for motivation.
Big Wind gusts with power out in some places but not too much rain. Radar looked worse than it was but its moving toward shore
Power out in Tinton Falls since about 6:25. Went out to the tip of the Hook to see the tall ships. I thought auntie Em was going to fly by. Lots of limbs down in the roads on the way home. Temperature dropped to 73 driving home.
We watched fireworks over the Navesink, more wind than rain. Back in Wall, it was really busy with downed trees and wires
