In the end, if we do not make it as a country and we really are on the downslope, the only solace I take is we did it to ourselves and a combination of utter abject stupidity of most of our citizens and the abject win at all costs greed of the 1%. They both deserve each other and the consequences.

I mean aren’t we there now with dozy Donald? Not sure Biden ever conversed with dead ex-presidents - bout positive he never incorporated into a formal public rambling. Just saying. They might not be as far apart as MAGA wished from an addled-brain perspective.

Maga has become so anti-globalism coded that they hand wave this at best, and welcome it whole heartedly at worst. It's super odd and not something I understand at all (and I really do try and understand why people are maga/support Trump) even if I'm vehemently opposed
