Hate is pretty much the only thing most on the left have......

https://amgreatness.com/2026/07/03/why-the-left-really-hates-trumps-america-250-celebration/

These large-scale, energetic spectacles are classic Trump. That is why his many unhinged critics have viciously attacked these patriotic events saluting our nation’s 250th birthday.

At its core, much of the backlash reflects a deeper disagreement. Trump’s events celebrate love of country, national pride, and American achievement—ideas that directly challenge the strain of anti-American sentiment common on the political left. Many critics view the United States not as history’s greatest force for peace, prosperity, and liberty, but as a flawed or villainous power. They tend to see patriotism itself as problematic.

This perspective was evident in prior administrations. Under President Biden, aggressive DEI initiatives reshaped military policies, contributing to a recruitment crisis. Trump reversed those policies and restored merit-based standards, and military enlistment has rebounded strongly. Similarly, President Obama’s “apology tour,” when he traveled the globe to apologize for America’s supposed history of arrogance and immoral policies, and Obama’s public skepticism toward American exceptionalism treated our nation’s founding principles and achievements as sources of shame rather than of pride.

In education, many parents grew concerned about curricula that emphasized America’s flaws while downplaying the nation’s founders, the sacrifices of its military, and the principles that have made the country exceptional. Education Secretary Linda McMahon is now advancing reforms aimed at closing the federal Department of Education, returning more authority to states and localities, and promoting curricula that focus on America’s heritage and accomplishments.

Trump is a fraud who has never accomplished any legitimate success based on his own merit. He has openly mocked the rule of law, and boasts about illegally using the presidential office to enrich him and his family. He has made life worse for millions of Americans, and his policies and decisions have directly led to the deaths of thousands of civilians and millions of Americans. He has taken what was once a civilized government and nearly accomplished the deep state’s goal of turning it into the 4th Reich. He has directly encouraged his supporters to attempt to overthrow the results of a fair and lawful election. He has been convicted of nearly 3 dozen felonies.

It is not simply hate that makes us patriotic liberal Americans sit with disgust at the Trump 250 celebration garbage, it is the mockery of what the US stands for that Trump represents. He is not what America stands for, he is not what this country was founded for, and he is not taking us in the right direction.

Failure to understand this simply means you are not in reality and are in a cult.

Trump supporters are not Americans

Everything he said is correct.

If it wasn’t screwing our country up so badly and creating such a divisive, hostile political state, trumpers and MAGA would be absolutely fascinating to study.

Well, the Demoncratic party is turning into a socialist party.
Which direction will you go?
This has been one of my greatest fears with the pendulum swinging. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. If you think the left has swung that far left, chances are that is an indication of where the right is. But I guess y’all are just frogs slow-boiling in water and have no idea what is happening.

I stopped reading after “large scale energetic spectacles”. Haha.
"Despite the left’s predictable whining and the media’s relentless negativity, the vast majority of the American people are with Trump. They want to see their country honored, not torn down. They want their children to grow up proud of the United States, not ashamed of it."

Just mowing down straw men in that passage and through the whole piece. And "the vast majority of the American people are with Trump"--the guy has never even gotten a majority of an electorate to vote for him in any of his 3 elections.

Gerald Ford was President for the bi-centennial and I would imagine he was barely involved in either the official planning or the celebrating of the event. Trump has gone out of his way to try and dominate the official US celebration and turn it into a MAGA exclusive.

It's actually way way more symbolic of MAGA then America, the incompetence, the corruption, the extreme partisanship. And history will look at it that way.

You are so FOS LMAO

I’ll save you some time on Donald Trump’s Fourth of July speech:

• We can’t let Iran have a nuclear weapon.
• Did you know “dumb” is spelled with a B?
• I’ve aced four cognitive tests.
• The ballroom.
• Joe Biden.
• I know more about anything than anyone.
• The fake news.
• Barack HUSSEIN Obama.
• Weird moaning fake barbell curls.
• We are hottest country in the world.
• People are walking around with no arms and no legs.
• Tariffs.
• Communists
• Affordability is a democrat hoax.
• Sir… stories that never happened.
• Crowd sizes.
• Algae in the Reflecting Pool.
• Nobody’s ever seen anything like it.

Am I missing anything?

The left is driven by envy, hatred and suicidal empathy (mostly driven by their desire to virtue signal and masquerade around as better people than they actually are). It really is that simple.

With approval ratings at 32%, it is obviously not just Dems or "lefties" who are unhappy with trump.
Are 68%of americans hating on our country?
BS.
They hate our leader and his cronies ripping off our beloved country.
If you support trump, you hate the USA and all it stands for since Alexander Hamilton warned about an unscrupulous executive gaining king-like powers.

Take a hard look at what you support and if you do it honestly, you'll understand we are better than you because we would never put up with the bullsh.it you accept without a second thought. You support the destruction of America, we do not.

LMAO, Trump said hold my beer(keg). You just can't be trusted if you don't see it - it smacks us in the face every day. He has been obscenely, openly corrupt in addition to every other cruel, un-American, and lawless thing he’s doing, Trump is making the American people less safe. He’s hollowing out our Justice Department, our intelligence community, & the FBI. He’s getting rid of people who know how to protect our national security. Trump is America’s enemy.

Making the American people less safe? That's odd, the crime statistics don't support your claims at all.. it's almost like you just make sh it up endlessly lol

"Oh no! He's firing government bureaucrats! That's literally fascism!!!!"

Yeah, but no. I fully support him firing all the blob assets that constantly leak state secrets. Good riddance.

America Turns 250: Half the Country Skips the Party

Why? They are unhinged. Obsessed with hatred. It's a compulsion.

https://www.thepoliticalvise.com/p/left-the-party-the-no-kings-crowd

I don’t need to tell you that we don’t have that unity today. For many on the left, Donald Trump is a convenient excuse to refuse to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. Put simply, because they despise the man throwing the party, they’ve decided the party itself is undeserved. The progressive Political Vise has been busy compelling politicians and performers to stay away from official festivities. Musicians who had pledged to perform at a 250th celebration concert in Washington found themselves pressured to cancel. I don’t think it’s hyperbole to point out that the left has confused their rage at one man with contempt for the country he leads.

The ‘Reckoning’ Racket

Donald Trump may be the target-in-chief of the left’s anger, but progressive hostility to the American experiment predates his election. Since 2013, when I first wrote in defense of Independence Day, it has become an article of faith on the left that there is little about America that deserves honor. The 1619 Project (originally published in and promoted by the New York Times) argues that we only declared our independence to ensure the survival of our slave-based economy. Alternative histories of the United States declare that America is fundamentally racist to the core. What we need, these voices declare, is a long-overdue reckoning. (Accompanied, of course, by untold billions in reparations.)

This combination of personal hostility to President Trump and growing disdain for the facts of American history has produced a sharp and partisan collapse in patriotism. Don’t take my word for it. Take CNN’s. According to the network’s chief polling analyst, Harry Enten, since 2015 the share of Democrats who say they are extremely or very proud to be American has fallen from 80 percent to 36 percent. Among Gen Z Democrats, that figure is down to 24 percent. Over that same period, the percentage of Republicans admitting their pride in this country rose to 92 percent.

Here is how the pendulum swung. The right is now the party of working men and women while the democratic party support antisemitism.

seriously, what has trump done to screw up our country? immigration is getting under control, the economy is doing well, the military is stronger, the constitution is intact - system is working the way it's supposed to, wages are up - although right now because of the Iran "excursions" inflation is higher, boys now compete against boys (at least in 29 states), housing is no worse than it was (which is not a ringing endorsement), inflation is under control.

Are there problems, sure there are. But name an administration where there weren't problems...

We were devisive during both Obama and Biden admins too. Admittedly, trump doesn't help the problem though.

You’re delusional. There is neither enough space to adequately highlight the damage that has been done by this grifter on the national and international levels nor do I have the time, patience, or desire to waste energy conversing with someone who chooses to live outside if reality. It is the literal definition of insanity.

You are not really any different than the rest, you simply do not use as vulgar of language.

I can think several bipartisan bills that Trump has tanked in the last 3 years.
  • 2024 bipartisan border bill
  • Finish the Arkansas Valley Conduit Act
  • Miccosukee Tribe land bill
  • 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act
And in his first term.
  • National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (NDAA)
  • Resolution ending the national emergency at the southern border
  • Yemen War Powers Resolution
  • Bipartisan immigration proposals (2018)
Can you name any bipartisan bills that Clinton, Obama, or Biden refused to sign or endorse?

That bill was dog sh it and trump proved you all to be liars when you claimed legislation was needed to fix the crisis you started. Both the LPGA and the PGA play on his courses. You? Worth about $20 bucks on a good day. Keep up the hate. It's very entertaining. He also employs well over 20 thousand people. You? Lmao. Keep screaming at your cat!
