That is the beauty of the World Cup. It’s more than just a soccer tournament. It brings the whole world together like nothing else really can. For one month, differences don’t matter. It’s just about having fun and being human together.
Kinda like having it in America instead of somewhere like Qatar is a good thing
Takeovers everywhere and haven’t heard of daily mass shootings fighting or destroyed property…. Why are these takeovers different

It's almost like the folks who have the wherewithal to travel to another country to watch a sporting event aren't doing so to simply watch the world burn.

Other than a bit of State, I watch zero soccer but have ended up watching all or parts of every WC game played. Like both Olympics, KY Derby, Indy 500, etc. I get sucked into a few "sports spectacles" and end up watching most of all of them despite not really knowing the details or nuance of what I'm watching. Even have my wife watching and it's been pretty exciting and fun. Obviously it being here and the hoopla has helped add to it all.
An added benefit has been catching up on and refreshing my world geography. Been doing a lot of Googling to figure out exactly where some of these countries are and their history.

This World Cup just shows that the majority of people just want to party and have a good time. I’m here for it.
I think it’s funny watching them try our food on tiktok… things we all take for granted like a chicfila sandwich, Texas bbq or canes they are like “this is the best food I’ve ever tasted in my life, I know why yall are all fat etc….”
Can't give enough up votes for that. Funny thing, all the soccer fans from around the world love America more than our low life, pos liberal democrats do.

They won’t know the difference. Heck a lot of Americans apparently don’t know the difference.
Absolutely true about us. I know people from MISSISSIPPI who say that Bucces is the best BBQ they have ever had.
I’ve never had it. Only thing I have ever done at my two stops at Bucces in my life is to take advantage of the facilities. I’ll say this, they do that well.
