Playoffs in the 4A West will be crazy. I just hope every team is healthy and it should be really exciting, with some really good games.
My fault Flyrod, I thought you were a Bandys guy.Not a bandys fan to be honest. From the post on social media and some friends in the area, they are pretty optimistic for the season. Not too sure why.
JV QB will be varsity. Doesn't run well and doesn't like getting hit, heck who does. Haha
They thing they appear to be hanging their hat on is the line. Most guys are back. Take that for whatever it's worth. But they are talking them up big time.
I assume they will try to run more than pass.
I have that same relationship with South Point.I just got more connections over there than a few of the other schools. Haha.
The JV question comes down to who's actually going to be on the JV I guess LOLI just got more connections over there than a few of the other schools. Haha.
No poaching, his family is Hickory through and through. Wait until you see him throw the ball. He also is one heck of a catcher. Wow!Middle school QB is a running back lol.. I know another school wanted him as running back. But at least important thing is y'all admitted to poaching a tiger. Technically a felony in certain circumstances![]()
I'll admit he may be the 2nd or 3rd most talented freshman player in the areaNo poaching, his family is Hickory through and through. Wait until you see him throw the ball. He also is one heck of a catcher. Wow!
Our conference games this year will be insane. Burns, Cramer, Lincolnton and Shelby will be games to see. All 4 schools have a ton of talent. Once we split and go to the playoffs the intensity will increase. Should be a fun year.Playoffs in the 4A West will be crazy. I just hope every team is healthy and it should be really exciting, with some really good games.
Does thatLincolnton will be first team to truly see our full offense this year.
We haven't poached. We don't take tigers from their natural habitatsDoes thatmean they all havenāt arrived yet.?
Have you been out āpoachingā ?
Canāt wait to see it!!Lincolnton will be first team to truly see our full offense this year.
I watched the video on Facebook and she talks more about Burns than us. Also talked a lot about Maiden.I like it!!! I cannot love this anymore than I do. It is absolutely perfect!!!
Can you link it?I watched the video on Facebook and she talks more about Burns than us. Also talked a lot about Maiden.
Starmount would go on to win the title that year (I think), against one of the Edgecombe County teams who came up short on a 2 point conversion.![]()

I can not confirm nor deny me trying to work a deal with them for some athletes to learn how to play footballLooks suspiciously close to a blue devil.
Theyāre some well-mannered kids. Iāll see them at Walmart in the evenings buying snacks, and at Chick-fil-A. If one of them passes by a first responder, they thank them for their service. A couple of them do look to be 7 feet tall. Besides basketball they play baseball, soccer. And golf.I can not confirm nor deny me trying to work a deal with them for some athletes to learn how to play footballa couple 7 ft WR

*Oh, and AMD, youāre not to be practicing you art in Lincoln County.
Thatās probably the golfers, and since the Lincoln County line runs through the golf course, stay off the Lincoln County side of the fairway. Some of them are housed in maiden![]()
I do have that inside connection there. A guy I work with his wife is the kitchen manager at the combine academy. He was telling me they bought houses and double wides in Maiden to house some of their athletes.Thatās probably the golfers, and since the Lincoln County line runs through the golf course, stay off the Lincoln County side of the fairway.

I was in attendance at this game. I was standing on the Starmount side with Coach Elder. He and I both felt that the decision to go for the first down was not the correct one at that time. The FB, Shuford, had been having his way, but he had too many carries that night. The Starmount defense guessed right and that stop changed the momentun of the game. Had Maiden punted the outcome could have and should have been different, IMO.![]()

West Charlotte has 1 like that.Donāt know if he is still there but at one time CHASE had one of the loud taunting announcers. We played them in 1995 there in a playoff game and lost that year. We had a pretty mediocre team.
This announcer was, I believe, the first one like him I had heard. How well I remember him āWill the officials apologize to our Trojans?ā
The next time we played them, he was a much more humble soul.
Never understood the benefit of that type of an announcer. Guess it is fun for the home side but if you were a visitor and your team is losing, you just have to sit there with your arms crossed and seethe.![]()
