This kid is a strong young man. He could play a couple of positions if his quarterback pathway to starter is blocked.
JVP would surely have him earmarked for LB.

Still think Jim Kelly would have been a helluva defensive player! He probably could have been a famous NFL pro bowler or something!

We also have a decent track record with other PPG Athlete of the Year award winners (LaVar, Sean Lee)
On that same note, the only WPIAL athlete to ever win it as a sophomore - not even names like Lavar, Lee, Pryor, Revis, Marino, McConnell, Rutherford, Short. That's a serious accomplishment.

Saw it mentioned he's also a star basketball player averaging 20 points as a Soph. Not mentioned, he batted over .400 during his high school baseball season as well.

We could potentially be talking one of the premier athletes to come out of the state of PA. Huge get.

Is it any coincidence that he committed the day after the adidas deal kicked in? 🤔
It does lineup with his camp visit and such, but definitely wondered the same. Legit seems like a nice kid though. He will be a great ambassador for this class.

Rod Rutherford didn't play in the WPIAL.

Kelly? God rest his soul. 0-4 is all I remember of him.
I really do not like the simple analysis that Kelly was not a winner because he lost 4 Super Bowls. if the kicker makes a field goal then Kelly becomes a better QB? they lost twice to a stacked Cowboy Team and once to a very good Redskin team. The Bills were the best team in the AFC for about 6 years in a row.....pretty impressive. Look at the rosters of the teams that beat the Bills......all of them should have beaten the Bills. Ask Dan Marino about Superbowl wins.........

Ray Finkel ruined Marino’s legacy.

The Bills should have played Kelly at LB.

Armstrong is only one year behind Wood. He is not going to sit behind Wood.

So what does the future at QB look like?

'27 probably a portal or Manske possibly? Falzone?

'28 Wood seems to be the guy

'29 Armstrong vs Wood
