I would think it would have to go to penalties. If a match is won in extra time, there’s an official winner & loser. If a match goes to penalties, it’s a draw and the winner of the shootout advances.

Correct it's a draw if tied at end of regulation and Vegas pays then, even though a winner (record purposes) is declared if a team is ahead at end of ET. Which makes no sense of course. Moral of the story: don't wager. Wisdom of the story: ask before you bet.

According to what I read last night, the one game red card suspension is not appealable. We are only able to appeal if FIFA extends the suspension to multiple games, which surely they will not do. But it's FIFA, so you never know.

What I saw is that it is technically appealable, but that once VAR is involved, you're basically not going to win any appeal. No clue if the people saying that knew what they were talking about, but they had British accents and were on an official looking set, so maybe they do.

To start with, Balogun is clearly our most lethal offensive player, and a lot of experts would say he has become our best player. But even if you think Pulisic is "better" than him, he's been hurt. And downplaying the impact of losing our most prolific scorer is Ludacris.

Anyway, besides the team rankings which have Belgium consistently in the Top 10 in the world, they also have one of the best midfielders in the game. Not just right now... one of the best midfielders of all time, in Kevin DeBruyne. I agree we may be fairly evenly matched in athleticism overall, but it's still a European team that is really good. Do I think we can win? Absolutely. Do I think we should win? I don't know. You said if we lose this match it's a huge choke job. That part of your statement is ridiculous.

Well that all depends on how you define “choke job”… if Vegas shows that we are favored… MANY would consider losing a game we are favored to win, (once in a few decades World Cup game AT HOME) a choke job. It all depends on who you ask. Belgium is very old and not very well respected in Europe. We CAN and SHOULD win. I expect us to. We’ll see.

Don‘t ask me. I think that one is a toss up. I’d say Belgium has the better talent, but a lot of what’s better is past their prime. A young team like ours might be able to exploit that.

I am guessing the people I saw were talking out their ***. Not sure if they were confusing rules applicable to different FIFA events or maybe even other leagues, but they were damn confident about it.
