Shocking, this guy hasn’t been healthy enough to play a full season his entire college career.

Achilles injuries are often non-contact injuries and can be very difficult to come back from. Kevin Durrant and others have come back strong, but this is a sucky thing to happen to him.

He had an injury history. This is why I kept saying I wanted Ransik over Freeman. It sucks and I hate this happened to the kid but he’s struggled to be healthy and we were going to have to rely on him as a a core piece. Ultimately, it’s good we didn’t get Freeman. McBride will fill the role nicely — not as good of a player, but he can put it on the deck (not as proficient as Freeman in that regard), a much better shooter and probably a better locker room fit (based on reports of his personality.) Happy with who we ended up with.

Best of luck to Freeman and I hope he comes back healthy for St. John’s next year.

And a ton of dudes on here attacked Pope because he didn't throw a massive bag at this guy, who gets injured every time he gets out of bed.
I hate it for the kid, but anyone that paid big money for him, is a fool. I hate to say that about RP, but he seriously overpaid for an injury probe player and it just bit him in the ***.

That is one Pope whiff that is awesome. He would have continued the massive injury streak we have had. Thank ya Jesus for this miss. He agreed on a deal here before he left too. Thank you agent McGreedy.
Hopefully Franck doesn't continue it. I bet Pitino was running his guys to death and Donnie overworked it.

This Freeman news has to have Saul in the fetal position.

I'm a friend of SOS, we are usually on the same side, so I'm not going to say anything negative about him on this, but a lot of people were all over Pope for refusing to overpay for this guy. Pope learned his lesson, he overpaid for almost every player last year.
