How things are messaged and how things are handled is important. This is the most vulnerable group of children/young adults.

Kindness and compassion matters.

Congress has inherent power to create agencies that are truly independent. Meaning agencies where the senior managers cannot be fired by the president without cause. The Supreme Court just put the kibosh on that, going against the strict will of Congress. They at least preserved the independence of the Fed. Even the idiots on the conservative wing of the Supreme Court (and they ARE idiots) recognized that we can't have a functioning economy without an independent Fed. Can you imagine a senile, sociopathic moron like Trump setting interest rates?! LOL ...
FED is not fully independent. We have 3 branches of govt. Cook can still be fired after they process it.
