I had zero clue what he's been doing so was surprised to see he's been an associate AD and COO at Texas for 8 years. Shouldn't be surprised though, these guys ALWAYS land on their feet. He seems way better suited for being the guy in the background than being the face of a major athletic department. He'll fire Fickell in 10 minutes, not that he doesn't deserve it.

Shocker is apparently Wisconsin actually does think Eichorst is good and Barry didn't refer him to sabotage NU as we all thought. I guess Bo won't be replacing Fickell.
Not a shocker. Barry wasn’t a big fan of NU brass during that era. Lots of ignorant people had that all wrong.

I believe Mike Riley is available for one more go around

The problem is he won’t know who tho hire . His major hires were Al Golden at Miami and Riley at Nebraska.

Lots of anger still directed at a guy that tripled Bo’s recruiting budget after TO was a moron (again) and tried to run the program like it was in poverty.
He should have hired Frost.

I don’t think that’s correct. Perlman wasn’t going to allow Bo anything. He hired SE to fire Bo . I believe he may have tripled Riley’s budget but not Bo’s .

This is correct.

But the lore from the Bo-Haters makes them come up with all these insane excuses.

Next will be the rehash of the basement of the hotel...

Bo also turned down more money...a contract extension...and free BJ's for life from Playboy Playmates.

You certainly aren’t .
SE was the AD for like 1 year or so, right?

And during that time he offered bo TRIPLE the recruiting budget and offered him more positions...And bo said "No" and went out and won 9 games and SE fired him?

Haha...These Bo-Haters are the best.

Then SE hired Riley for LESS and and smaller staff?

Just so we are clear. The big brains here claim Blo never turned down additional recruiting staff, and Eichorst didn’t massively increase his budget, right?

I mean, you must mean "Big Brain" because you can't read my posts, so you have said, over and over, so it would just be one persons posts that you saw.

Ah, playing all the hits.🤣🤣🤣🤣

Brings back memories of all the disappointments that have been HCs in Lincoln.

And they're still adding to the list with MR.
Unlike in iowa where they just keep the same coach that has turned them into a laughing stock for 30 years.

"Hey, do you think we should finally get rid of the all time liosingest coach?"

"No, we should keep him"

Exactly. Eichorst was the worse AD we ever had at Nebraska he was incompetent knowing how to hire a football coach and he was just a glorified lawyer.
It is weird that we have fans defending him now.

SE was known for hiding in his office and having his secretary run interference so that coaches/employees could not talk to him face to face.

He was known for making coaches fire people on their staff.

He was known for making grownups do book reports.

Imagine calling sending out the Energy Bus book to a bunch of really rich coaches and telling them that they have to read it and then do a book report on that book. My god.

Then imagine being a fan of that move and defending it! Haha. Typical numbers.

Again...he can't hurt you anymore. You don't have to be scared.

Again...knowing Bo wasn't good enough is not the same as being scared of him. You don't have to keep making that sh*t up and repeating it over and over.

It's mind boggling that someone who bashes Iowa's acceptance of their average 8 win coach like you do can at the same time have such a raging hard on for our average 9 win coach. Like that one win per year makes one a legend in your mind and the other laughable. Guess what...they're both mediocre. Acceptance of either is laughable.

Maybe it makes you feel like your extremely unhealthy man crush on Bo is somehow a little less gay? I don't know. But it does not compute.

I am super gay and I am okay with that.

I just wish NU fans were not scared of Bo still.

Yes, Wisconsin hiring Eikhorst is the ultimate statement that Wisconsin believes the Nebraska sports administration & "the other powers that be" are the ultimate problem. Too many cooks in the kitchen. Lots of hands in the cookie jar.

The results speak for themselves. 159-136 since those brilliant football minds Harvey Pearlmen and Stevey Peterson said they didn't want to gravitate toward mediocrity.

It’s like a secret society cabal. They totally look out for each other no matter how awful a job they’ve done. It’s ridiculous
