I remember that--I was actually thinking he looked like a future star. I guess I can't always be right . . .
Not so fast ... apparently UWW released a USA list that USA Wrestling didn't provide. All NLWC guys are out. So are Lee, DeSanto, Cronin, Arujau, Carr, Hamiti, and Valencia.
Beau has lost his first round.
Will Lewan has won his first round, the eighth final, 4-4 by criteria.
Ridge Lovett won his quarter final 9-4.

In today's current crop of top U.S. freestyle wrestlers I see much improvement in hand fighting and head/hands defense. I feel like those improvements over the last few decades have really paid dividends against international opponents.

7:44 Parris lost his semi, but it didn't look right - it looked like he was out cold from a bad chokehold, but the lost challenge review gave his opponent yet another point.

Didn’t Parris comeback against Trimble after appearing to blackout during what appeared to be a chokehold at World Team Trials? IIRC it didn’t look good for him then either, but he bounced back to win. I guess here he was not so fortunate.
Plott is up next against Altunbas from Turkiye for bronze at 92Kg. Altunbas won a couple of matches at Sr Euros and took silver at U23 Euros.
Having issues with Flo and missed the first period but Plott is up 2-0

Amanda Martinez with the bronze, Dymond Guilford with the silver finished out the women's tournament. The team earned enough for the second place trophy. India captured the first place trophy.
