I love dogs. I also love basketball players that play with the tenacity of dogs, so when I call a player a dog I mean it in the most positive way.
I think every good team has to have some of those guys, the ones that bring intensity all game long on both ends of the court. I don't think last year's team was blessed with enough dogs. MoD was definitely a dog but he didn't have enough size or shooting ability. Oweh looked like a dog at times but he coasted on defense too often.
I think this team has at least a couple dogs. I think McBride is a dog; I don't know if he will start but I think his dogness will earn him playing time. I also think Mason Williams is a dog and I think he will also earn more minutes than people are expecting. Agree with me on Williams and McBride? Of course, both of those two might come off the bench so we will need a couple dogs in the starting lineup. Do we have any more dogs with more talent?
