That's definitely an interesting take. Would it be because the shoe quality is better? If that's the case why don't we have Skechers as an option?
Otani has blown up the brand. NB is taking a huge chunk out of the cleats market, including turf runners. The Fresh Foam stuff is hot. My kids (HS and middle school) won't wear Adidas or UA. I like UA because it's cheap and I can easily buy it in talls, but I'm old and dont care about logos. Nike, Jordan and NB is all my kids want. Just got a pair of the new 1080s in the fresh foam, and they are insanely comfortable. Epic dad shoes.

Last year’s CFP:

5 Nike
4 Adidas
1 Jordan

Seems Adidas is punching above its weight class.

Of course, none of this shít even remotely matters anymore with NIL and the revenue share. Every school should simply take the most lucrative apparrel deal that they are offered at this point.

...and next, that Bc fan will go cut grass and then take his wife to dinner in those same shoes.

I despised some of the crap Adidas put us in during the Mullen years, especially all of that gold sh-it. But lately a uniform is a uniform except for the different MSU logos they plaster on everything which they don't seem to control. Then there's their logo which is just as predominate as the MSU ones.

My biggest beef now with Adidas is their "sideline apparel" i.e. the shirts, shoes and skinny pants w/ MSU colors and logos. The 3 stripe, argyle, double knit Euro shirts and skinny pants just don't look good on fat boys like 6 Packers or skinny golfers walking down the fairway. I don't own 1 single item w/ Adidas on it, nothing, and never will.

Geez that &tate is so terrible, tells you all you need to know about our leadership. I mean who the 17 decided it would be a good idea to make that logo the face of our athletics

Geez that &tate is so terrible,
The logos that stand out are definitely the contrasting colors with a big bold power letter. It's interesting a power letter with State across it is good for OhSt and IowaSt but not Mississippi State.

the hardest to read or see are &tate, Ole Miss and others less recognized are logo heads. Floridas is terrible.

Where's the mighty Apex?
The Athletic has been running a series on all things 90's CFB and one article was specifically on Apex. Pretty funny write up. “Those jerseys were just hella atrocious,” Meadors says with a laugh. But he still has his in storage at his mom’s house in Texas, and he’s not giving it up as its value rises.

Wife and I were in Sam's Club in Pensacola last week and there was this guy, 60-70, white New Balances, Jean shorts, red polo, white cap with a cord, and wearing sunglasses with a neck cord on them. I told my wife that I’d bet her dinner anywhere she wanted that he was driving a corvette. She looked at me and proclaimed that there was no way I could predict what he was driving and took the bet. So we hung out until he checked out, about ten bottles of wine, silver convertible, red leather interior, probably early 2020’s.

That's not even close to true
Show me an adidas program that we are better than.

Arizona State? Sure we beat them last year, but they are in a much better place than we are.
Indiana? They won the national championship last year.
Kansas? Maybe. We had the same record as they did last year, they were better than us in '24 and they were a top 20 team '21-'23. I'd say they are in a better place than we are.
Louisville? They have won 9 -10 games the last three seasons.
Miami? Played for the national championship last year.
Nebraska? Underperforming their potential, but way better than we are.
NC State? 8 wins last year and 6 straight bowls. Wish we had that success.
Penn State? Consistent top 15 program
Tennessee? Consistent top 20 program and a playoff team two years ago
Texas A&M? Way better shape than we are.
Washington? 9 wins last year, Sugar Bowl winners three years ago

So "What's not even close to true" about us being the worst adidas program right now?

We got lucky against Arizona State and we might have beaten Kansas last year?

We are in bad shape. I found the graphic interesting and counted the 12 adidas Power 4 schools. We're #12 of 12 right now. That means we are the worst adidas program.

Weird hill to die on. I mean, maybe we are the worst Adidas program. But in the context of the discussion, as long as they aren’t paying for the rights based on football performance, who really cares? We’re just bad in general, regardless of what we’re wearing. If we’re at least middle of the pack in terms of the revenue brought in by our apparel deal, then we’re as good of shape there as we could expect.

I think you are missing the fact that a simple switch to Russell would make us the best Russell school out there.***
