There are still rules? What could they possibly be? Since gambling is ok I assume it is just no raping or killing.

Yes sir which is the actual good news. I’m surprised Barney didn’t dish some dirt on the 2012 team as his final act. The most corrupt AD in history worked to get all his buddies paid before he stepped down. Gave his good friend stoops a hefty buyout barney thinking he would get his own sweet heart package. The guy was a clown, wasted our money and tomorrow should have his name stripped from any building on campus.

Mitch lost me when he AGREED to lose an entire 10 win football season over literally nothing while UT was leading the pay to play charge.
I was wavering before that, but that did it. His insistence on playing within a set of rules that no longer exist is why it was beyond time to let him go.
Self reporting was the correct Remedy. Otherwise, we're just just pouring Gasoline on the problem.
This right here. I mean I know mitch has the squeaky clean bs monkier, but I'd hang up the phone if the NCAA called for some BS like that with what's going on in terms of pay for play *cough* NIL.... Just do what everyone else does anytime the NCAA says something they don't like ..take them to court. It seems to have a high success rate.
But back on topic ..You generally self report this stuff because if you self report they basically say bad dog don't do that again and that's that.
If they find it a while later that get a little bit more pissy about it. That's why you self report all minors no matter how dumb they are....
This one was out in the open at least. The football one was an internal investigation. The NCAA didn't even care. Had mitch not self reported AND agreed to vacate the season, nothing would've ever happened.
