A good question. It will end up being whoever earns those spot minutes between Morton, Noah, Kam and Hawthorne when both Zoom and Wilkins aren't on the floor together. My expectation, maybe misguided but it just "feels" like what the staff is trying to do, is that Kam and Hawthorne get time at the 2 (despite being large wing/SF type bodies) and providing the rest minutes for Milan at the 3. I don't see Milan playing much, if hardly ever, at the 4. All that to say, not that the lineup can't go differently and be more fluid, but this entire roster is tall and wing big wing heavy. Whichever one can hit shots, move the defense, and get stops on the perimeter on the defensive end will win the job as the backup 2. I think Kam and Hawthorne's length will cause problems for team on the perimeter as long as they prove to be quick enough to guard penetration. It does help when you have two good shot blocking 7 footers waiting in the paint to assist. So who plays the 2 while the other is at the point? Neither can shoot.
